Yoh all fellow fakku members im gunzero a college student who is trying to do research on amputees the reason im posting this topic on this site is because ive notice amputation is a type of style some fans of H enjoy and i would like to know the reasons why and if i have posted this is the wrong discussion thread please tell me which thread to place this in.

It's a psychological thing, I'm sure.
My guess is that it has to do with power, which is a major thing when it comes to sex. A lot of people like rape in their porn because it makes them feel powerful; they are gaining power by proxy, by watching or reading the character(s) in porn rape or be raped. Even if you would never go so far as to actually rape a woman yourself, if you have anger towards women, it can rock your socks to see a woman be raped (a fictionalized rape, for the sake of argument, so we can avoid any morality arguments).
Similarly, if a woman is missing an arm or a leg, or is otherwise disabled, it can make you feel powerful. In one respect, that she depends on you for help. In another, that she is helpless, if you want to have your way with her.
Completely different than the power argument, however, is the idea that one sympathizes with a disabled girl and feels that she would in turn sympathize with him. You may be emotionally scarred and feel a connection to a girl that is physically scarred because you have both suffered, albeit in different ways. That connection, that feeling of being understood, is very powerful and can be extremely important.

I think I need to disagree a bit with the power play part. I'm sure it might play some role, but it's probably not the major element in a disabled/amputee fetish. I actually know somebody who has a pretty big fetish for this and while I might've been disgusted by it at first, I think it's a more innocent fetish if you think about it.
It's not so much of a lust thing than that it's a feeling of wanting to protect somebody. So if your partner has some sort of serious damage, you feel that they need your protection the most and thus you feel attracted to them. You feel like you can be responsible for them and shield them for further danger, since they need to get help in life. It might imply largely that the one attracted to the disabled/amputees wants to be the seme, but only in a more romantic sense of it.
