Is it possible to lose weight if you go to the gym 5-6 days?
0
I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and every session I lose about 300-400 calories (Not including doing weights, since I dont know how much I lose doing weights) and everyday I eat about a total of 2000-2500 calories.
Now I was wondering with that method will I be able to lose weight, or is it just a waste of time?
Another thing, I said that I eat about 2000-2500 cal per day so is it too much or is it just the right amount?
Oh and I weigh about 175 lbs.

I'd say add a half hour of jump rope to that, and you'll certainly lose weight. I very rarely lift, and I focus more on biking/swimming/jump rope, and I've lost about 12 pounds in the last month.

If you're trying to lose weight, then what you're doing sounds fine. You won't get quick results because you're taking in a decent amount of calories, but the lifestyle is healthy, which is ultimately what matters. I will caution you to not lift weights every day...more like every third or fourth day. If you lift everyday, you'll never gain stronger muscle and the probability of injury goes up quite a bit.
Weight loss at its core is simple--burn more than you consume. However, the body seems to hate burning fat. When you are burning calories, the body will burn body fat, but also something else. You'll want that something else to be the remaining calories from something you ate recently (within an hour). Otherwise, your body will burn muscle instead. The key point is that you cannot have your body be burning 100% body fat. So eat something light in calories before you work out so the body burns that off instead of muscle. Gatorade is what I drink.
Read somewhere that 3500 calories roughly equates a pound and that to lose weight healthily, burn at most 1000 calories more than you eat. Works out to two pounds a week, but this rate will definitely slow down as your body gets in shape. Counting calories is also very difficult to do, which makes the math terrible to attempt.
Wish you good luck in your endeavors.

I visit gym 3 days a week, though I still do some sprinting too at home.
And... It seems like I got some muscles instead losing weight.

5 days is a little bit overkill in my opinion.
Try this for one session ans tell me how you feel:
4 minutes with Stationery Bike, but:
20 seconds of maximum efforts (think of outbiking the police, who are trying to chase you because you accidentally eat their donuts)
10 seconds of rest (let the pedals spin your legs)
After this exercise, you will burn fats hours after it.

Yea that's one of the things that Im doing. Except rather than doing 20 seconds of maximum effort I would do a full minute and I would always try to make my heart rate upto 180 to 190 at best.
I do the stationary bike for at least 10-15 minutes and I would have a 1 minute cool down in the end.

Yes it is possible to lose weight in that time period, it's not a waste of time.
I used to go to the gym to lose weight, but now I keep going because going makes me feel amazing. My friends joke around that I make going to the gym sound like a drug addiction. I go to the gym about 6-7 times per week for an hour. It's really fun.

Lifting weights and doing strength training shouldn't be completely discarded. You need variety, otherwise your body will just get used to the beating you're putting it through and progress will plateau. I would recommend throwing in some circuit training, just to mix things up a bit. And, TBH, I reckon you should build some muscle anyway. Might as well be aesthetic if you're gonna put the effort into losing weight.
Also, if you're trying to lose weight, its ALL about the diet. Eat clean. So basically, you'd only be eating chicken breasts (no seasoning) brown rice, eggs, oat meal etc etc. You basically can't eat anything other than what you make yourself because everything in restaurants don't cut it (unless you're willing to pay tonnes of money to go to those expensive healthy restaurants, and even then I wouldn't trust them). So, no eating out. And FYI subway isn't healthy, for the most part; the sauce has ridiculous amounts of fat in it and some of the meats are kinda trashy, diet-wise. Count your calories, carbs, proteins and fats.
And of course, you could always go with a keto diet: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=132598293
I dunno IF you should go on it, cuz it's used primarily by body builders to lose fat and keep muscle. Outside of diabetics and body builders haven't really heard of its use. It's similar to the Atkin's diet, but more specialised.

I started going to the gym 2 weeks ago. My exercise plan is 1 hour for all 7 days. I've notice some significant weight loss, but now it seems my body is getting used to my exercise routine (I hardly loose my breath or sweat). That's a sign for me to step up to a more efficient exercise plan. I'm avoiding weights because all I really want are nice looking abs (like when I was still a teenager) and strong legs for stamina.
I'm definitely going to add circuit training in addition to weight lifting (1-2 times a week) within my exercise plan. Thank you all for the tips.

Also keep in mind you loose calories all the time by doing simple things, so don't be so hasty to burn calories.
