Jesus Christ, that father was disturbing. The man's obviously not thinking in his daughter's best interest, but in the interest of his wallet.

I found that interesting. I thought that loli didn't go any further than drawn media in Japan. Drawn media is 'fine' but it challenges peoples boundary's if they have little self control. Those people (who we cannot differentiate from the next pathetic pervert) were probably the perpetrators and the rest of the community just grabbed and ran with it.
Nonetheless, that dude was right, it sure as hell doesn't happen here in New Zealand. When I do watch the news (on the net, I really don't watch TV much anymore) I never hear those reports. About 3 times this year, and those were by crazy killers.
tl;dr: Great, even Japan is starting to become non-conformist. Now we'll start to hear of horrific rape stories. -sigh-

It is interesting to see how other countries can have different views and standards. Japan seems loose about some standards and Here in the U.S. we're being Nazis about every thing.*COUGH*4-KIDS*COUGH* I'm neutral to this whole thing really. I could care less if it is legalized or not. We're perfectly fine without it. Yet I don't think it would cause catastrophe it released and mad legalized.

No way I'm gonna approve something like this. Look, drawings are okay, but real girls underage is crazy. But it really depends on the person themselves as it says there.

Anyway, it's pretty screwed up.

I dunno.
In the early to mid 90's, u-15 magazines featured naked 10 year olds. The age of consent in Japan was 13 up until 1996, and so it wasn't unusual to find an jr idol magazine with a naked 13 year old being sold at a 7-11 magazine rack.
The japanese government then raised the age of consent to 18. Today, you will find it next to impossible to find a u-15 magazine with a naked underage girl. The absolute worst you can get these days is a two piece bikini.
I think the situation is improving (compared to 10 years ago).

It's Italy.
Italy has entire TV shows dedicated the getting little girls and boys to stand in front of a crowd and sing, while wearing really, I mean, REALLY, revealing clothes. It's sickening.
What's worse, my grandparents love it.
