Knitting/Crocheting Suggestions
0
I knit and crochet for fun and was wondering what (if anything) people would be interested in buying. Mainly fandom related pieces. I can make sackboy figurines and have some ideas for homestuck scarves, but I can't currently find the yarn for it.
Is there anything else from other fandoms that you would like to have kintted/croched into a scarf, pair of mittens, hat, ect.
(Sorry the picture of Sackboy is so dark...)

That's a good idea. I would need measurements though. I have an etsy account, but nothing set up on it.

have you knitted plushies before like pokemon or MLP? I know people would go crazy for them ^-^The only doll/stuffed animal that I've made before was the crochet Sackboy that is in the picture. I could try to crochet some, but I can't make them stand up. Unless I figured out how to put some kind of wire frame inside that won't rip the stitches out.

I could try pixel art. Are you talking about doing granny squares like the one below? (How it's just a square piece with a design on it.)

If I may ask, what do you do with them? (I looked at the website for that image, and that piece is actually a dishcloth.)

Okay. I was thinking about doing that with the sburb (homestuck) symbol. I'd just need to buy a lot of yarn in a few different colors.
Thank you by the way for your suggestions! :D

I think it should be okay if I don't sell the homestuck items on the internet. I'm pretty sure it'd be okay if it was a face to face basis. (Like by word or convention.) I just have to get yarn to make the scarves. XD You have to spend some money to make more money...

I'm sure some people would buy a doctor who scarf that one of the doctors wore.

10-15 seamstresses...?!?!?!?!?! At all of the cons I've ever attended, I've only seen one seamstress. Her dresses were beautiful, but I didn't check her prices because I was sure I wouldn't have enough money.
At the conventions in my area 90% or more of the artist alleys are people who draw. That's probably why I'm so worried about eventually getting my own table and selling stuff. (When I make enough stuff.)
Now that I think about it, I think 95% of that 90% of people who draw don't paint. All of the work around here is either hand drawn or done via a tablet... Artist alleys around where I live don't have much variety.

However, there are seven different colors in the scarf so that's seven different balls of yarn I would have to buy to make one scarf. And that one scarf is huge... That's why I don't want to make it.
Maybe later on when I get more money and have more time...

Spoiler:
So the scarf looks like that, right? If the average person is about 5' something, that's at least 20' of knitted yarn total. I think I would only make a Dr. Who scarf on commission, as in someone specifically asked and paid for it. I feel that it's too big of a project to make and possibly not sell.

I can gurantee that would sell.
