Less than a month to my first wedding anniversary

So I was wondering on what should I give to her. I'm a kinda... awkward guy when it comes to choosing presents or anything similar.
About her, well, she's the kind of woman who will accept everything I give to her with the kindest smile. Um, she also likes sewing and all related to it. Ah, she also used to collect teddy bears and such, but since we're married, I've never seen her buy dolls anymore. She likes cooking and is awesome at it, and we just had our first daughter.
So, what should I give her for this occasion?

I think I would want lingerie or a nice Kitchen Aid mixer<3
I would assume that it's hard to feel sexy after having a child so, make her feel extra hot with some sexy knickers ^.~ And what chick wouldn't want a Kitchen Aid mixer? You could bake all day long... cupcakes, cakes, muffins, macarons, cookies...
I wish I were married.... :(

Cooking utensils... we already bought a full-set kitchen when we built our new home. And as for lingerie, I don't think that's a good idea even though I actually love the idea itself.

The traditional gift for a first anniversary is something 'paper'-related. I have little ideas myself, however... I would give something sentimental.

Things like stationary, writing utensils or books.
I personally am all for books, nothing better then a sexy well read mind on a lady in my opinion =3
However I would avoid anything romance related, it's just extra cheesy XP

Writing utensils don't seem to be appropriate for such an important occasion, but book might be okay. I'll take a note on this.

Well being an artist I would totally find a nice set of inking pens or pastels pretty rad. It's not just fountain pens and erasers lol

Paper, mainly because 1st anniversaries are usually called paper anniversaries. Along with the stationery, you could try some origami as well. I'm sure you're a patient enough fellow. :3
Correction. Stationery, with an E, means writing utensils and such. If it's an A, it means completely still, like a tree in summer. Wouldn't go all grammar Nazi like this if the typo didn't make such a huge change to the context, so I apologize in advance. :c

Hm... how about this? I'll give her a set of pen and diary, and tell her that from now on instead of writing diary all by herself, why not do some exchange diary?
How does it sounds?

No offense, but you guys are kinda going about this all wrong. It's a Wedding Anniversary, in other words, it brings back memories to the day where both of you tied the knot and gave yourselves the ultimate commitment. It's like your birthday, but oh so much more meaningful. If you're going to go the Simple Gift Route, the Simple Gift should still be symbolic to your lover. Me, personally? It's a special day with special meaning. So I'd do something extravagant. Take her to the beach for instance, movies, etc. Just something to remind her, that you are her's and only her's. That you'll give her your undivided attention.

Eh, being married myself I never felt the early anniversaries were really super crazy important, at least not enough to warrant getting extravagant gifts. You can make a meaningful memory without going overboard.
I think you should save the crazy stuff until much later, but then I'm pretty unromantic and atypical in how i view relationship milestones.

I agree with you, Parie. However, it really depends on the kind of girl you're dating - would she be the type that really wants a big outing? Or would the exchange diary be more suitable? Personally, I think the latter sounds like a great idea. It's very cute and coupley- like reinforcing the fact that they're now a unit and their lives are streamlined together. If you do go with this, I would write the first entry before you give it to her! For instance, for one gift my boyfriend bought me a digital photo frame, but he uploaded some pictures himself before he gave it to me. It just made it all that much more special. :3

Try buying a teddy bear and customize it. Put a chef hat on it and sew the back of the bear that has "Happy Anniversary" on it. Advance happy anniversary to the both of you! ^^
