@ShaggyJebus I dunno, I think the rick roll is kind of amusing not for the fact that you get lead to it's video but that the fact that it's a lame song that makes me point and laugh at how fruity it is.

Wow, I had a similar problem at a convention as well. There were so many people shouting out memes I couldn't hear the anime we were watching. I was sitting there wondering why the hell they were there if they didn't want to watch.

Overused. Same reason Family Guy stopped being funny. When you make the same jokes over and over, it gets boring. "Oh, a popular internet video, but with Stewie in it. Never seen that before."
Same thing with Chuck Norris jokes. It's not that the jokes didn't make me laugh when I first heard them (though they didn't make me laugh very hard, even then) - it's that it's not creative. It's lazy and dull. And that isn't funny.

I couldn't agree more. This is probably the only one that actually pisses me off.
There are some others I'm not too much of a fan of, like people saying "Fail" is getting a bit old, and all of the Chuck Norris being tough jokes are becoming rather obnoxious as well, despite not having heard much from them lately.

The use of any meme really, which is ironic because I love seeing how they develop and came to be, but after seeing them used too much I loathe them.

I can agree an overused meme can be overbearing. I sorta feel like they can't let the meme which is like a baby in a sense just die.It has to continue aimlessly.

Unless the majority of the people agree with you then the joke will die. But seen as the entire internet uses it then i am afraid you are helpless to stop the onslaught of the noobs who use the meme when they want without consequences.
