Has anyone else read this comic of literary genius?
To describe it, this comic seems silly, its about a group of 3 kids dealing with their fathers murder, their mother also dealing with PTSD after being raped by one of the accomplice of the murder, and them going to live in Lovecraft, Main to stay at the old family home the Keyhouse. Then things get weird...
There is some force of darkness that wants magic keys, and the kids have to use these same keys to stop him. See each key has a door, and when combined and either passed through or used, something happens. All the they while trying to figure out what is so important about "The Black Door Key". Believe me, its better than it sounds.
A few Example of the Keys.
Ghost Key: When used with the Ghost Door the person dies, literally, and passes through the door as a ghost/soul. However when the ghost goes back through the door, he regains his body, or A body if there is two ghosts. If two ghosts go through at the same time, they share a body. As a ghost you cannot interact with objects, however you can go to whoever or whatever is in the house just by thinking of it.
Anywhere Key: Simple key, think of a specific place you know, and you will arrive there through a door connected to that place.
Head Key: Allows you to "open up your head" and root around in your mind, or others minds if you so wish. Adding a book and you will know the book, wont understand deeper meanings or anything, but will know it by heart. For instance, you would know shake spear, be able to quote it, but since you didn't really learn it, you don't get any of the deeper meanings.
You can also use it to take out memories or emotions you do not want.
There are more, but this post is long enough, just wanted to see if anyone else likes this series as much as I do.

I love Locke & Key! I've read the first four books and am waiting for more issues of book five to come out. I found the series after reading Joe Hill's, the author of L&K, first two books, Heart-Shaped Box and Twentieth Century Ghosts. He is one hell of an author.
The characters are all fleshed out and really come alive on the page. The art is spectacular, too. With a different artist, the series might have been shitty, but Gabriel Rodriguez's style is able to effect horror and humor extremely well.
The story is the best part; things build up slowly but surely, and pieces to the puzzle are handed out carefully, so you are satisfied but still want more.
Really, you cannot praise Locke & Key too much.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Sad that the tv show didn't get picked up though.
