To me this news is a good thing to me because they finally have a real person show the let-down part is the cast all failed my expectation........... if any of them are my girlfriend then is ok.

On the matter of anime/manga ransitioning into live-actions, i think Deathnote was probally one of the best, it retained much of the original plot but didnt really liked how it ended.
