I know it's probably really silly for me to think this way but I'm a bit bothered knowing that my boyfriend watches porn and hentai. Don't get me wrong, though, because I think I do realize that it's natural for guys to do so. But I can't help but feel insecure. To be quite honest, it makes me feel ugly, insecure, and inadequate. It has gotten to a point where I hate my face without make up. I know my feelings are ridiculous but I can't help but feel that way.

Am I just ugly? Am I not good enough? Does he just enjoy seeing other girls?

the best solution is to talk to him bout it. as a guy if i was in a relationship sure i'd still like to LOOK at hot girls, naked girls etc but don't forget he chose you not them. He looks at you and thinks of you as the girl that will come first in his heart. He looks at hot girls on the screen cause he got horny. But don't take my word for it go talk to em don't jump to conclusions like your not good enough and crap like that, never question your self-worth.

How much does he watch? If it's obsessively, there might be a real issue with it. More along the lines of porn addiction than a problem with you.

I kind of agree with this. I mean you're on fakku, so chances are high that hentai is something you both like. Why not enjoy it together?

And communication is the key, as others have said. If it makes you uncomfortable, or if it's obssessive, then you may have an issue. But if it's just an interest, just talk to him about how it makes you feel. If you have a good relationship, you can both work together on it.

I don't think you should ever feel inferior to hentai/porn though. Both are unrealistic and just a fantasy. He's your boyfriend b/c he wants to be with you and thinks you are beautiful and sexy, otherwise he would just be sitting in his room fapping to hentai.

Either way, even if you had no boyfriend in this picture, you should never feel like you have to hide behind makeup. That sentence makes me think you have some self-esteem issues completely unrelated to your bf that you need to talk to someone about, be it your mom, your friend, or a therapist.

Blame biology. males are driven to spread their genes to as many females as possible. it has very little to do with the females. it really has nothing to do with you or how you look.

i can understand feeling insulted and insecure if he was watching porn instead of having sex with you, but not on his own, when you're not there. a former GF asked me why i still owned porn even though i had her. my response was, "you're not always here when i get horny". think of it as a surrogate for when you aren't around.

i don't know how it is for other dudes, but for me, there is a kind of detatchment when watching porn. it's almost utilitarian, like shaving, or taking a shit. it's just something that has to be done regularly. think of it like eating a TV dinner(porn), vs. cooking and eating a big fancy meal(sex). the TV dinner is fast, easy, and it gets the job done, but it's no comparison to a real meal.
