Mayweather vs Ortiz Finish: Cheap Shot or Not?

Its been a long time since I've seen a boxing topic here. So lets begin. For those of you that like boxing, Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz had an...interesting finish last weekend. Here it is for those of us who can't/won't buy pay-per view:



I don't know when youtube will ban the video so watch it asap. The question is:

Do you think Mayweather's punch was a cheap shot? Or do you think that its "Protect yourself at all times" when in the ring?

I'll start this off by saying I think it was a cheap shot. Ortiz was trying to "make peace" for his headbutt moments before. He seemed to be waiting for the referee's signal to continue. And then wam! Watch the slow motion replay. He was not going to get up from that.

So what are your thoughts?

I think it was a cheap shot also, but that being said Ortiz wasn't fighting fair also.

I thought Ortiz fucked up in 3 parts:
1)The Fucking Headbutts, what the hell was he thinking.
2)Not paying attention to the ref. He Clearly said "Lets Go". I guess he was waiting for the bell.
3)THE MOST IMPORTANT: Why the fuck was he "Trying to make peace" with Mayweather? Fuck Him.

Man, I just want to see Mayweather's smug face get beaten down. Is that too much to ask for.

see thats what I thought also...it may have been a cheap shot but it was Ortiz's fault for lowering his hands.

For sure dude. I saw that headbutt like 7 times before I heard the "Lets Go" and the signal to box. He should have focused less on the "Making peace" and more on the ref and opponent.

It was a cheap shot in my opinion. It funny to see how Mayweather irritates when someone else than him is using dirty tricks. I never liked him since fight with De La Hoya, when he was was turning around to avoid points for his opponent. Anyway now he's going to play tragic hero, and thank God for his magnificent win. I know it was Ortiz fault, because of his streetfighting box. Mayweather could show that he have manners and beat the shit of Ortiz later.

[font=verdana][color=green]It was a bloody dirty move by Mayweather. There are some certain things that you don't do in any sport, for example "playing the game" when the opponent isn't paying attention/playing the game themselves. Cheap.

Ortiz had it coming IMO.
