I'dd like to start a topic about one of the most inspiring bands: Metallica!
I guess i can't really blame the people who don't like them. Since their music is something you love or don't love.
For people who want to add some videoclips of metallica, please do! Cause because of some reason my pc won't allow it :P

Metallica used to be really good but after ...And justice for all they started to go down hill and now they aren't even a thrash metal band anymore they are a rock band. But their early work was pure metal gold and will be remembered for ages but their recent stuff is so sub par that it's not even worth listening to if you're looking to headbang to it.

I don't even like the Saint Anger album that much. The best albums are from the 80s, with the exception of Metallica in 1991.

It's true that their old stuff is way better than their new material.
But when time goes by, people age. Most of the bandmembers are already over 40 years old. It's not so strange that they don't sound like they used to. And I don't find Death Magnetic that bad, there are few good songs in it too!
It's just different, that's all!

They could still be good, Just look at Slayer they hadn't made a decent album in a decade after Seasons in the abyss (1990) and then in 2006 they released Christ Illusion and then World Painted Blood (2009) and those were kick ass albums.

Hey!, Metallica fan here! been a fan for a few years now. I too STRONGLY prefer their old stuff, but they got some awesome tunes on their recent material [size=10](90's and after, Yes that includes St. Anger, i'm probably one of a few people that thinks that, lol)[/h]

Death Magnetic was an incredible album. Perfectly mixed both their styles, their thrash metal era and their alternative-rock-influenced-heavy metal era. I like most of their stuff, with the clear exception of half of Load and Reload. Even their "sell-out" era has some good songs. Nothing like some Disposable Heroes though.
