What if you work at night and do everything at night and you don't go to sleep till about 6 AM?

Usually at the very end of the day, I limit myself to fibrous fruits, but most often, a protein shake (and usually one with slower digesting properties - i.e. with casein). It's true that you should try to limit excess carbs and the like at the very end of the day, as it's just wasteful intake of energy that you won't use. If you do have a flipped schedule (you are awake and doing stuff during the night instead of the day), then it's fine to eat at night, and just limit what you eat before you sleep (whatever time that may be). In a nutshell, treat night like day if you are living in reversed hours.
