Is it ever too late to learn a trade or a Skill? For example instead of playing an instrument as a child you picked one up when you were 32. Is it too late to learn said instrument? Will your brain take in information like it would've as a child? This can be applied to anything.

It's not too late, but it would be hard, since your brain has already developed.

I do not believe it would be too late. But being older might have its own life "barriers" of learning something new. And example: When adults try to go back to college, it is difficult for some (mind you SOME :P) to learn/grasp the concepts they are being taught due to their life style. Kids? Work? Regular daily routines? etc. You can learn at any age you just have to have that willpower >:)

Well I've read something somewhere that I pretty much agre with, and its that no matter what your age is, no matter what your past jobs are, to be good at "something", should it be a sport, a game, devllopping a talent, juggling, fixing stuff, etc, you need approximatly seven years of doing that and that only.
The approach to this was "How many lives do you have?" Knowing that you can only truly start acting on your own after 21, you can say that you've got 56 years left "active and fit", in an ideal world. Thus, you have eight lives to spend perfecting yourself in something diffenrent each time.
Two pence.

Well I can only speak from my own view, so I have to say no, nobody misses their chances in life and it is never too late to learn, but it will take the brain more longer for the skill to develop since we already have so much data written in our brain. So the older you are the more difficult it is to process all the new skills you are learning.

This topic honestly seems better suited for Random.
OT: Depends on healthy/able you are really. I personally know an 80 year old who's learning programming. It might be tougher for some people though.

It's never too late... No I don't think it is too late...for that age at least. Now it's around 45 or higher then I think it depends.

Nah, it wouldn't be too late. Sure, some things might prove to be difficult. But, if you apply yourself, you can pick one up in time.
While I was doing my aircraft maintenance schooling we had someone in our class that was in his late thirties, with a family, and no prior experience in mechanics/maintenance. But he was able to pick it up just fine by staying focused and actually wanting to do it.
