most exotic food you ate?

Escargot.
It was surprisingly good, not that it had too much flavor on its own. It mainly relied on the sauce it was cooked in.
Oh, also alligator. But that's not too uncommon where I live.

my buddy made me try squirrel meat before......it tasted disgusting

Century eggs. Looks gross but they taste great.

Dog meat and frogs. Doesn't really taste disgusting though.

Most exotic food I've ever eaten was fugu in japan. I don't normally go for wierd dishes. I've had the opportunity to try but refused to eat the following:
Dog meat-China, specifically Lanzhou.

Fried Insect Ice Cream topping-Egypt.

Kamaro-Phillipenes (i think its called this, some kind of grasshopper dish)

Bull testicles/Deer testicles/Goat Testicles-multiple countries (im sorry, but anything from the crotch region does not enter my mouth).

I've seen silk worms, Raw body parts of animals such as liver/heart/lung, all eaten.

People eat alot of different things in the world.

I don't know about exotic...but weird or out of the norm would be

Alligator, Frog Legs, Raw Quail Egg, Quail, Raw Oysters, Pheasant, Dove, Elk, Bear, Deer (Venison) but loads of Sushi, Wild Boar, Rattlesnake, and Escargot and that's about it.

Probably some sort of sparrow on a stick as street food in China.
Ate it out of courtesy to our hosts...

crickets-survival training (kidding); chocolate covered from some weird store in the mall

worms-not from a tequila bottle.

squirrel brains- backpacked the Appalachias, found a foodstand but would not try
possum or raccoon brains

Andrew Zimmern would have a field day with this thread.

As for me, the only thing "exotic" that I've eaten is frog's legs. It felt like chicken, but had a subtle taste of fish.

Not something I'd eat everyday.
