Most irresponsible super power to give to humans
0
Finally I figured out something to post in this thread
Today a friend in class said he wished he had the power to move the overhead so he didn't have to move his head to see the board. I told him that power would be kind of meaningless since its not difficult to move your head. He then said he wished he could erase the board from a distance just to mess with the teacher.
That reminded me about this thread and what this person said
It made me wonder if my friend really thought about every power he could possibly imagine and picked that one particular power just for the purpose of messing with someone. It gave me a self-fulfilling prophecy feeling.
It also let me figure what power I would want. The power to negate the effects and remove the existence of power (both super and not). Its a inherent power so I have no control over it and it is always active as long as I exist. When I die it is transferred to a random child without their knowledge. It doesn't self negate and can't be undone or removed by man, deity or anything you can imagine.
The power to maintain our miserable status quo I think is the safest bet for humanity. So unless we kill everyone on the Earth the power will continue to be in effect.

Time travel. People would use it to change things in the past to their liking. And if it doesn't work, they can just try it again.

Curious and Wondering
Everything. Any super power you give to a human will be bound to be abused at some point. Because of one factor: difference of opinion.
One might say it's "irresponsible", the wielder may interpret it as "logical".

I like the theory that when you travel back in time time itself will fuck with you so you cant change anything like trying to kill your grandma and the gun will jam or it wont actually be her.

Power to grant any wish.
In fact, giving humans any power to exceed their abilities is asking for tragedy.
People have generally hard time controlling what they already have, and the impulses that it causes. Suppose someone had given us a way to fulfill any of our desires - would the world really be in one piece after that?
Maybe in a thousand years people will grow to be responsible...assuming of course, our species will continue to last that long. Which is not that far fetched.
