Mountain Biking

So anyone out on the forum a legit mountain biker, and by legit I am stating you have an actual bike for the sport and are proficient at the sport. If so what are you running for gear, do you race, ext...ext.

For me mountain biking, besides kayaking, is my one and only sport. I don't know why but the adrenalin rush in a mountain bike race or on a trail is just not comparable. I am currently running a Giant Anthem X2 with Crank Bro's Egg Beater pedals. At some point I hope to upgrade some of the metal race face gear with their carbon fiber alternative.
