Movie Suggestions

I've just started getting into movies. They're pretty good, who knew? I liked Law Abiding Citizen, Gran Torino, Up...
So don't suggest comedies. Story only. Final Destination. Is Final Destination a good movie?

That depends what you are into. If it's story, then no. They all (there's what, 4 or so now?) lack a decent story, and the plot is the damn same every time. Some kids escape death, and then they are later killed in unavoidable and ridiculously complicated manners. It's fun to watch, if you enjoy a movie that's mostly special effects and idiot kids dying, but other than that it holds no merit.

yea final destination isn't all that great. The first one is ok, but the fact that they introduce new rules in how death takes people and then not go anywhere with it will more than likely piss you off since you like plot.
short list:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unleashed with Jet Li was a nice surprise. Very overlooked
Old Boy is a must for plot [even if they changed the original ending]
The Departed gets pretty tangled [in a good way]
Three Extremes is a very good horror movie. Each story just as unsettling as the last
Hansel & Gretel [2007 korean film] nicely done. The name of the movie is a bit [read: a lot] misleading to the actual plotline of the movie.
Sonotine basically life as a yakuza.
hmmm, is there a genre you are looking for? Or are you willing to take anything?

I been watching TMC and AMC a lot lately. lots of old good movies. one movie i like that seems to be a bit unknown(to most people i've talked to anyway), "lock, stock, and two smoking barrels". it's a british movie, kind of similar to "snatch", also a good movie. "boondock saints" is another good one, i've not seen the sequel yet. an old film nior i like, "sunset boulevard". the "evil dead" trilogy. "yojimbo", "fistful of dollars", "last man standing", in that order.
i'll be back to add more as i remember them later.

The story may be clichéd now, but Star Wars is still as awesome as ever.Yeah. You may not believe it, but there are still some people that haven't watched Star Wars yet. orz

My suggestion: Ounce upon a Time in The West(Has the most badass character theme ever)

Thanks guys. I have a lot to choose from for now so I won't be needing any more for now.
I guess I'd be good with any but comedy... or horror; quality is an issue to me so for now... nothing that is old or anything.

Gah, I get those people all the time. T_T Darn gits don't know what they're missing. ;_;
I also suggest Stand by Me (All time favourite movie) and the Lord of the Rings Motion Picture Trilogy (preferably the Extended Editions over Theatrical).

1001 movies to see before you die
Here's a link to a list of movie that said to be "movies to see before you die"....just like the link says
Someone should try to watch all this movie. If they live through the experience and still can function like they usual do; then, they could become the ulimate movie critic. A god like critic that outranks Siskel and Ebert in the field of movie ranking.

Thats the one.
I'll just throw out some movies I think you should check out.
Shooting Dogs*
Burma VJ*
American History X
Requiem for a Dream
Boondock Saints
And you should check out some classics like Casablanca and 12 Angry Men, good stuff.
I highly recommend these two. Shooting Dogs is about the genocide of Rwanda in 1991, very realistic and very good.
Trailer
Spoiler:
Burma VJ is a documentary about the riots in Burma 2007, and what triggered it. All footage is from my understanding the genuine footage from illegal video journalists who have tried to document what was going on.
Trailer
Spoiler:
Both movies are really worthwhile. They might not be among the best made or those that I enjoyed the most, but definitely those that invoked the most emotion in me, due to their true stories.

Old? What the-? It's from 1997.
And I wouldn't really consider it a b-movie. Don't know about a fourth dimension neither, did you just spoiler me fore Cube 2 and Cube 0?
