My dream.......

My dream since I could remember has been to a successful Manga/Anime artist. It's only since just recently in the past few months I've been applying my self to the Manga genre of art. A lot of people around me have given me props and encourage. My toughest critic is so far has been Noatakun. I think if I keep practicing and applying myself I'll eventually break the mold of average and final enter into the realm of a true artist. My teachers have said I have infinite amounts of creativity,imagination and the ability to always be myself.

My biggest hero In life is Hayao Miyazaki. For those of you who might not know he is one of the greatest animators of all time. He was the co-founder of Studio Ghibli. They have made some amazing animated films that I love and charish in a box set. I have wished to be like him so hard, but I'm know where near as good as him.

I can't show you any of my art right now because I don't have a scanner or camera. This Fakku is my question "Is it right to follow my dreams or should I settle for something else?"

Follow your dreams.

Less than 2 years ago I was online trying to find all of the manga in the Only Asuka series. I went to hundreds of different hentai sites trying to find each volume with no luck. At each site I saw what they were doing wrong and the chance to do it right. It led to me making FAKKU, which has been one of the best things I have ever done.

Do what you love. If you like drawing then do it. Don't let anyone sway your decision and just keep at it. It's your life bud, enjoy it the way you want.

Have you tried releasing any indy stuff?

Go for it, but first; get a scanner so we can see your artwork. I doubt you'll go far if people don't ever see your work or critique it.

Since I don't know what your drawing is like, take some classes/workshops or something, create something good, and go from there.

You can't know your limits if you at least not try it out.
So follow your dreams, never give up and move forward.
Man, Mr. Miyazaki can be proud to have somebody like you.
It's better to follow you instincts rather make something like give up and try other jobs like working in the garden for money or sitting in a stinky room and work with other fools who gave up^^

Hear's something to think about. Ever heard of mega tokyo. That was originaly a web Manga/Doujinshi made by Fred Gallagher. This comic is so popular that its out in paperback, and is one of the first american made mangas to be accepted in a japanese manga distributor. Well this is as far as I know.

I love using crazy text colors and effects so people will make note of what I type.

Do it dude, follow your dreams. Never give up. Too many times do I talk to people and am appalled to know that they gave up on pursuing their dreams. It's sad to me. Honestly, dreams are what motivate people to do what they love. Take me for instance, I always loved music and wanted to play it, and so I started playing music. And i'll continue playing music till I die, even if I can't make it as a famous guitarist after I get out of college or even if I never make a record deal, i'll be happy knowing that I tried my best and i'll never regret it.

the simple fact is to do what you enjoy doing. and if you get paid for it in the process well then thats just a bonus. if ur not really sure about ur artwork get a scanner and show us. a good suggestion would be to take some classes if for nothing more than to just sharpen up on some of the things you might not be good at. dont be afraid to have big dreams. its way cliche but if you aim for the stars youll at least touch the sky.

I'm rooting for you. Follow your dream which is the same as mine. I'm also striving to do my own manga/comic. It will be a tough journey but if we don't give up, I'm sure success is right there waiting to be reached.

Recently I've had two Ideas for a manga/anime. The first of mine thought by pure imagination alone and the other spawned from a topic on Fakku in the topic "The Future is Gundam". Both of which I'll talk about later.
