Alaska, home skillet. My fears of nature are never fake or imagined. I'm too cool to worry about things that can kill by poison. I'm worried about what's in front of me.

Edit: For the record, I love spiders, and actually play with a lot in the summer time. Same goes for many other bugs. I like how they feel as they glide across your hands and arms.

You're scared because you don't have a mechanical device, designed specifically to kill, to protect you from an animal that relies on natural instinct for survival? Interpret it however you want, but if you're worried about bears and you can't handle them unarmed, you should think about living somewhere else.

The forces of nature are strong. Guns are a safety net. If you had a gun and you came across a bear with a gun, would you shit brix?


Nature only kills off the weak. Think about it. Why is it that when wolves, lions, tigers, or any other carnivorous predator is injured, or otherwise incapable of catching their natural prey, they resort to hunting humans? The answer is simple, we are easy prey. As a species, we may be unique because we are bipedal, but in nature, that only means we are slow and clumsy. Our only true advantage is that we can destroy and warp our surroundings into something so unnatural that it scares any living thing that would prey upon us in a natural setting shitless. In the wild, left to survive on our own natural instincts, humans are as good as fucked.
