We all have certain sites we visit on a regular basis. The question is how do you get to them? I'll usually go up to my address bar and type in the first letter of the site I wish to visit and let my history do the work for me.

The navigation toolbar in Firefox - Fakku, Facebook, Youtube, blogs, Demonoid, Last.fm, news sites. I have other bits and bobs like train times tucked away in my bookmarks, and the search bar serves eBay, wiki etc, but that's my main port of call.

Bookmarks, yo. There's even that awesome customizable bookmark toolbar on firefox that allows me to quickly navigate away from my porn in times of danger. Oh, firefox, how I love you so.

@Solva: I'll be using that from now on.
I use book marks and that yahoo toolbar that lets me stuff it with links to other places.

Google Chromes link bar has all of my main sites, if the site is not on that bar but visited often I just have to type in about 2 letters for it to pop an auto-link.

All my dailies are on my tool bar, and all the many blogs I read I keep up with are on my rss reader.

Chrome Bookmarks bar, and Google. If either of those fail, then I probably didn't want to see it anyway...

I do the same as OP, type in a few letters in the address bar, sometimes just one and let the history do the work.
