New Daft Punk Album

Daft Punk has finally revealed the album title, artwork and release date for their first studio album in 8 years.

Random Access Memories will be released on May 21st with a total playtime of 74 minutes. The song titles are yet to be announced, but a little sample can be heard on the official website of the album.

Incredibly stoked for this. It seems like they're moving back to the sound of Discovery, which was a great album.

I have heard one song from it. Or maybe it's a fake...



Anyways I'm waiting on this album. I'm expecting nothing short of Discovery quality from this.

This is wonderful news. Has been one of my favorite bands for close to a decade now.

This will be great, looking forward to it.

A teaser was just released for Get Lucky, one of the songs from the album. It sounds absolutely amazing, can't wait for the day it's released.

While I'm hyped as fuck I think Get Lucky isn't as good as many of their other tracks.

It didn't reach my expectations. Lose Yourself to dance was one of the better songs.

It's pretty stupid to compare RAM with porn music, give me a break.

Definitely different compared to Discovery; more or less a homage to the 70's and 80's era with a modern touch by Daft Punk. I wasn't sure what to think at first, but it definitely grew on me.

Just listened to the entire track, to be short and concise, I like it. I agree with most of the comments, it's a large dosage of "funky".

"Instant Crush" is one of those songs you play in a dim atmosphere with the girl.
"Lose Yourself to Dance" is a nice lounge track.

"Touch" I didn't quite like compared to the rest.
"Beyond" felt out of place, the opener. Same with "Contact".

Probably late already but I have bought the album digital and hard copy. It is different (to me at least) from their previous albums in some areas. I liked it none the less.

I like the album. I didn't expect it to sound like the old albums because that's not what this was about, therefore I wasn't disappointed, just pleasantly surprised with how well it all came together.

It also makes a really good soundtrack to FTL.
