New Futurama

So just saw new episode of SP and Ugly Americans and saw that Futurama is starting again in June with new episodes and only for Comedy Central. Anybody else excited about the new season? Futurama is probably my 2nd fav. american animation, 1st being SP.

I'm happy about this. Thought it was to stay in rerun hell forever.

I have heard they are changing voice actors, i am not pleased.

really? I mean it was not long ago that the 3 movie series came out and those kept the original voice actors.

It this not just another movie cut into episodic pieces? I watched the first two of those; the first one was reasonable, the second just bad. I'm not sure if that was the length or a change of writers, mind you.

Anyway, I lie in anticipation, but I have to wonder whether it's just run its course.

I think this was fully announced last year, but anyway there was a small scare that the original voice actors would not be returning, BUT in the end everything worked out, so the same cast will still be there.

And also it's not another movie being chopped up into episodes if people are worried about that. This is an entirely new season.

I can't wait for a trailer, loved Futurama for ages, the movie's were alright but Futurama works better as episodes imo.

Oh good, I forgot how much I loved Bender, JUNE NEEDS TO BE NOW ;-;

I'm not excited at all. The movies sucked, and that's all these new episodes are going to be, shit like the movies. Stories won't stretch over four or five episodes, but that's not the point. The writing is going to be the same. The jokes will still be weak, and the character's relationships will be forced and annoying.

Yay for more Futurama! I loved that more than The Simpson's and Family Guy combined! Though, then again, I felt Family Guy left a bad taste in my mouth, like American Dad.

And though it's coming back in June, I'm thrilled. June is the month I was born on, so it's like a early birthday present.

I liked the movies except for that medieval one. As for the actors, wasn't there an announcement awhile back stating all of the origs were still there?

It'll be on in an hour. I'm gonna be watching it.

Just watched the two new ones. as good as the old ones IMO.

Seen the two new episodes and...well...just like the films it feels like it's lost it's spark, it almost feels dull and like the character no longer have any chemistry together.

I'm hoping though as the Season goes on it'll manage to gain the same level of genius as the first run had. (although Zoidberg continues to be lovable.)
