new manga

I've always dreamed of writing the story to a serious manga. One that showed nudity and and violence in a mature and realistic fashion, but was also still a scifi vision of an alternate reality. Just my crazy litle dream.

I had to think about which one I wanted to do. It took all day.

The story is about Edgar Portfield
The year is 3459 He's a circuit racer in the ice-giant tours Mostly on pluto and Sev-452 as he's just recently upgraded his rocket propelled grav-bike to be able to compete in those extreme circles. He has a following on earth and mars since each of his parents was from one of those planets, but its not a huge following or even a very large following, but his name is well known to the heavy hitters as he's the only person to go from racing on the mars-helo station circuit to the ice-giants in less than seven years without sustaining a single injury.

Edgar stands just over six foot seven, typical for his mars upbringing. Cyborg eyes of the filter variety stand out on his face, even behind his astro helm for the space races. His hair is short, black and spiky but rarely seen under his battered baseball cap when not racing. Edgar is slender like all martian raised but he has a bit of a stomach since he has the money and loves his food as much as any grown twenty four year old man should. His racing number is 948, it says Loser above his number where his name should be.

That’s not all the story but I'd like to see a picture of Edgar on his grav bike and the rear engine to it should have some heft and bulky sections to it. I wanted to leave it at that so that I can see if you can capture Edgar in the right light. What I'd like most to see is two pictures Edgar Standing one proudly next to his bike in his mechanic gear (the bike should be at least double Edgar in length and almost half his height at its highest point) and another pic of Edgar racing on the bike. Now I've been personally vague to let you figure out how all this would look to you I don't want to limit your creativity but let it grow into its own image. The only thing I prefer is that the standing next to it drawing be more detailed and finely drawn and the racing image to be slightly blurred with some of the old lines slightly out of place. I don't care What enviroment you put him in while he's racing but keep in mind that in space I'd like him to be in a space suit not a bubble for the bike.

Oh one more thing Cycle-9 Sanction is the name of it but its also the special license given to Ice-giant series racers, in the form of a laser gun that they must compete with and use during races. The laser gun has Cycle-9, Sanction stamped somewhere on it.

go for the look of the adults in Soul eater. Franken Stein is a great example only with very shorty spiky hair and any image you can upload is just fine in my opinion, also keep him in regular adult clothes for the modern era nothing too out there.

have you seen bleach, gantz, witch hunter robin, or ghost in the shell. Something influenced by any of those animes would be right where I'd like. Loose the glasses though.

How about a set of goggles he keeps on his head when he's not racing, only the frames to them would look sort of like half open window blinds instead of a smooth surface?

Its not like I can draw at all. We'll stick with edgar for now.
Can you draw him in a relaxed position, say leaning againsts a wall in a mechanic outfit? any sort of jumpsuit with a tool belt will do just fine for his mechanic outfit.

If you do one of the bike don't make handle bars put ports on it for him to place his hands into. I think I'd like to go for a direct neural conection between him and the bike when he drives it.

Thats very kind of you york I apreaciate those words since most of the others I told about this dream tell me I'm just stupid or that it will never happen.

what the heck do you mean by rep? and once I know what it is then yes totally ok. I love the outfit and the way he looks except for the flames on the pants I don't feel those are necessary

and on his shirt where the flame is should be the number 948
I believe you can decide for yourself wether you think its needed for him to have a belt with various odd looking tools on it or not as we can always make a mechanic character later.

I just barely still can't see rep but I will be able to quite soon. and I have a friend who now has an extra scanner so I might be able to buy one for cheap real soon (keeping fingers crossed) but one of his family members may want it for free lets hope he decides to go with money over love.

I've got a scanner,moneys walks and also scans images. Have you thought about how you're going to draw the bike yet crim? remember no handle bars ports for placing the hands into is much better.

now I'm off to think about the proper female lead.
