Now you can own your own quantum computer!

And it's only for the lovely price of ten million dollars. Now all I need is to do is get a loan from the bank!
No but seriously, this is might get attention from labs and research facilities at places like large universities and such.

And i thought my plan on my quad CPU I7 extreme and 32gb ram computer was futuristic.

I don't know why people invent stuff the rest of the world can't afford.Because the things they invent help invent things that the rest of the world can afford. Many years ago, it was incredibly expensive to own a computer, it cost a fortune to build one just as it does this one. Eventually, over time, things flood the market and become cheaper, just as the computer in your room now only cost within a few thousand dollars, the computer you see there will eventually be around the same.

Well actually it's much more likely that they have this because the market this is aimed after is not the general consumer but most likely research facilities who lack the recourses to build their own quantum computer but can still afford this. But anyone with $10 million to spare can grab one.

I believe there was some miscommunication. I was saying that in 1952, a computer would have cost a fortune just like this one, but will eventually be reduced in price given a few decades. Eventually you may regularly see quantum computers inside of people's homes.

Yeah there was, sorry about that. I'll make sure to make the most out of my PQC (Personal Quantum Computer?) whenever we can get them. Anyone think we'll still be using Windows by then?

Did a bit of research on it.I don't think in the state they have there shit, that they will sell all that grate. Corporations really want to know what they are getting before they even ask. I mean i actually go around and request white papers on random SGI's and Cray's. But generally they offer some kind recommended use, and they show what makes IT better then its competition but this does not... so it makes me curious i might look into it more.
I am am following two HPC news sites on twitter and I don't remember reading anything about it.

Anyone know the quantum equivalent for windows?
Give it 10 years or so and you will only need 3 mortgages to get one xD

In the world of 4real there is no such thing as running your everyday desktop windows on a supercomputer, it was not made to. The closest your gonna get is spending $50k on a Cray CX1-iws. =D
I looked into it, cus Cray is fucking bamf... but just the case costs $10k
