there's also same ritual in my country called "Jelangkung" but doesnt have to hide. the process is a bit different. you need a doll and some bloods to write the name of the deceased people you wanna call. after a few mintues the doll started to shaken and will posess one of the participants (including you) to communicate.

if the ritual success the person's spirit will be called. if the ritual fails a demon will come and kill the posessed body
