It looked kool to me but i just don't know any one that has the stuff so i never went.Almost all Paintball fields have rental equipment you just have to look up the field closest to you and hopfully they will have a website with their prices. I REALLY suggest everyone to try paintball at least once. I never liked any sports I only played FPS games and playing paintball is like the ultimate FPS game (to me anyway) but I have found a passion in paintball that I think will never die.

Lol, sorry but there is no such thing as a "sniper" in paintball the paint does not shoot that far enough, around 300 feet is the max distance but that's when you angle your barrel up so your really just lobing the paintball and it looses speed when you do that then making the paintball more likly to NOT break on target and it's not very accurate at all. Watch some paintball video's and you'll see what I mean.
The only thing that can come close to being a sniper would be the First Strike Round. but in order to shoot theese you'll need to buy the only paintball marker designed to shoot them which costs hundred's of dollars and since the F.S.R is a special paintball, it's much more expensive than the normal ones.

Paintball is good when you play woodsball, but speedball has become all about BPS, and is thus shit.
If you'd like to be a sniper, try Airsoft. Rifles are allowed to shoot at 750 Feet Per Second with .45G BBs, allowing for accuracy at around 500m. Also, contrary to popular belief, BBs hurt more and the players are generally more honorable and call themselves out, as opposed to paintball, where wiping (cheating) is an integral part of tournament ball.
Anyway, my sets (paintball&airsoft)
Paintball:
Tippmann A5 with SAW stock, 416 Shroud, M4 Gas-Thru Magazine, and an EoTac sight.
Tiberius Arms T8 Pistol with MP7 Shroud
Ninja 68ci 4500psi tank
Airsoft:
WE Gas-Operated SCAR L
Tokyo Marui Dragon
Maruzen L96

BPS DOES change the game slightly, but only slightly. It used to be 13.3 BPS but now its around 10 (in the PSP) so 3 balls isn't really gonna change much of the game. Now about the cheating, well, there will always be cheating in any sport, wiping is not an intricate part by any means. Of course that will happen regardless but thats what referees are for, I was at the PSP Chicago open and the Ref's will pounce on you if you look like your playing on or wiping.

When you play real SpeedBall and its semi-auto only, its as fast as you can hit that trigger. So, people get guns and hopper that can achieve the highest speed. (Angel Fly and Dye Rotor, which can put a staggering 50BPS downfield)
And that's the thing about wiping, kids are good enough at it that no one catches on. Its kind of an artform in and of itself.
Hell, some kids you squared off against probably did it and you never even caught whiff. You know Brandon Sedwick(sp?), yeah he has to get hit by like 4-5 balls at once to not wipe fast enough.

I really don't want to sound rude or anything but I know i'm going to sound like it anyway. But, do you even play speedball? more then once or just a handfull of times? because looking at your setup it seems like you play woodsball much more often but then agan you could have a gun your not listing. But anyway i'm not sure why you seem to be hating on speedball, it's not like the players cheat more often than a woodsball player. Like you said you could have hit someone and not even know they wipe it. Also, i'm not even sure why you think BPS matters so much obviously if your playing an open game and there is a guy shooting 20BPS ramping and some kid going semi then yeah thats a problem, but then again, thats open game for you it's up to the field staff to get a handle on that but when its different leagues like the USPL, everyone is semi and that's the rule and that's perfectly fair, same with the PSP everyone is ramping at the other team and the other team is ramping at you so it's a level playing field and there is nothing wrong with that. Oh yeah and the only way your going to get 50BPS is full-auto or ramping which is illegal in all paintball leagues and i'm 100% positive the ref's at your field would catch on that your firing too fast, and there is no way a human can get even close to 50 walking the trigger on straight semi.

I'm only saying that you can achieve up to 50 BPS with that combo, and yes I do play woodsball more. Stopped playing SpeedBall a while ago because it was degrading into what it is today. When a game is simply about emptying balls in hopes that one will hit and also wanting to have a nice open hopper to reload WHILE still shooting just rubs me the wrong way.
And I know woodsball kids cheat too, which is why I've mostly dumped paintball for airsoft. It has a generally higher player age (at scenarios, not backyard BS) and they actually call themselves out because they don't need to be marked with paint and they can just man-up. Hell playing honestly got me out at least 3 times at a Badlandz winter big game because I called myself when the ball didn't even pop. I mean sure paintball weeds out the honor system, but I say that if the guy you hit won't admit it you shouldn't be playing with him anyway.

If your that worried about emptying pods into hoppers then why don't you just play pump lol. I understand what your saying and I agree, emptying your hopper isn't all that fun but it does serve a purpose because when your in close quaters on a speedball field you may need to keep your opponent in his bunker so that either you or a teammate can move up the field to get a better position or to lock down a lane so no one can make that move into the snake. A Karnivor can go up to 50BPS too, i'd love to have one of thoose, such a nice marker.
Anyway, if you still plan to play anymore paintball, an Apex barrel is perfect for woodsball.
