Post-Apocalyptic Summer?

I realized that this summer 3 new ones have been or will be released.

• This is The End
  World War Z
  The World's End (New Simon Pegg movie!)
  Pacific Rim (Courtesy of ToyManC)

I love movies with the apocalyptic theme. Not to mention "Last of Us" was just released as well for the gamers. I'm sure is more relevant media I've missed. It seems like a very Apocalyptic themed summer. Thoughts?

[size=12]I have only seen World War Z and i really was on the edge of my seat on how intense it was! Great acting and i interesting story-line how they resolve the problem. For the other two movies i don't think i will enjoy "This Is The End"but since i am British i am pretty sure i will enjoy "At Worlds End" with Simon Pegg and his good friend Nick Frost will be amazing! Though i don't own a PS3 i have been watching Two Best Friends Play who have been playing this and i must say it does look pretty damn amazing![/h]

I also really enjoyed World War Z. I read the book as well and was happy with the depiction. Naturally, there are differences but the directing and acting were definitely very well made!

I think you should add another movie to your list. "Pacific Rim" would seem to qualify for an Apocalyptic tale as well.

Added. I actually don't know the premise at all to the movie. The trailer was really cool though.

Giant Robots fighting Giant Monsters. That's the premise.

Btw, if you're a fan of any of the actors in This is the End, go watch it, it's simply hilarious.

Did you think that This is the End was way more intense than you initially expected? I was surprised by the amount of suspense in the film.

I was thoroughly impressed as well, but I've come to expect that when I see something written by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. They really know how to make a story encompass multiple elements. If you wanna watch a good movie written by those guys, try 50/50

People loves their zombies.

That movie made me tear up really bad. It was impressively emotional and well filmed.

World War Z is good as is, more of an action movie than a zombie movie. But don't compare it to the book, or have that expectation.

The world's end looks nice.

Did you know that in Paris there is actually a bar called "Le dernier bar avant la fin du monde?" litteraly "the last bar before the end of the world".
