First of all, Great movie!
I give it 10/10.
When I first went in the theaters, my first thought was that this movie will suck because it is based on a video game. But NO. It had a lot of comic reliefs, actions, and MORE!

I saw it about week ago but still loved it.
I agree that it was a very nice adaptation from the video game, even better it was not directed by 'Toilet Bowl'.
What I liked the most...probably the whole movie, but what stood was the time rewind, yup 'xactly from the game and of course the le parkour.
What I didn't like? What happened to the good'ole jumping inside a hidden fulll of traps, the fight scenes were a little bland and the thing where the dagger of time cannot be refilled the way it was in the game(then again we'd have a movie where the prince would abuse the sands of time to no end...wait)
On a side note during the invasion of the holy city, the outfit worn by the prince(I refuse to call by his name, mentality brought by the games...) was basically his costume from Warrior Within.
His costume for the rest of the movie however was pretty much Ezio from AC2.

I was in cinema 2 weeks ago with my brother & brother-in-law to see it, I've gotta say that I enjoyed it.It was completly clear to me that movie gonna be a little different from game (c'mon who's gonna watch the same story from the game on the BIG screen!?).The producer is Jerry Bruckheimer the same one who produced "Pirates of the Caribbean" and I really liked PotC :-).Jake Gyllenhaal as prince was really great, I can say that he's done his homework and Gemma Arterton (Tamina) done a great job too.As you mentioned above in the whole movie Dastan, weares costumes from "the sands of time trilogy" and even from Pop 2008 game as well. Now Im waiting to see Dahaka in action ;-)

because it was a bad movie, maybe? The cast alone makes me think that way, or at least it was a lapse on the part of the make-up/special-effects department. Cause really, Caucasians in the Middle East, at Persia? Thats rare, if not very rare.

...It was a 2.5 of 5 stars for me.
The acting, timing, and shot-types were... odd. British accents. Poorly-followable fight sequences, sometimes without continuity between shots and angles.
The set, costumes, and music were fine but it just didn't come together right.
I was disappointed, but whatever.

Only after seeing it did I realize how good it was that it didnt happen to be just another TV show with an ending that suck.
