PSP Broken bits.

Hey people I had a ? about my psp. I've had it for a cpl years and over time the wear-n-tear finally broke something. The battery cover latch broke off and I'm wondering should I replace the housing or just get a new one? I'm using tape to hole the cover in place atm...and it makes me cry lol so any feedback would be great thx

you could get those giant cases for the psp, its a bit uncomfortable to play with but it will hold the battery cover in place.

Step 1: Go here http://www.ifixit.com/Info/ID-your-Game-Console/1342
Step 2: Select which version of the PSP you have
Step 3: Click the link stating that they sell parts for your model.
Step 4: Select the part thats broken and purchase it.
P.S. If you have the original PSP 1000 series your boned as far as getting parts from them. You will find in the same site a bunch of tutorials on disassembly which may prove useful in identifying which part is broken by it's common name and then searching eBay for it. The same goes for the other model numbers.

Dood, you can get a new battery cover for your PSP for 1.50 on ebay. i think its the lock that holds the cover to the psp that is broken not the actual cover itself

Oh, well, its the same thing, really. Official replacement parts aren't expensive for these things, although I think you'd need to open the housing to fix it.

Yeah, this is a optional solution, where you'll just encase it in armor.
I'm using ti myself, to keep my UMD player latch in my 1000 closed. the latch somehow got loose and everytime anyone touches it, it opens by itself. and thats where the Armor comes in Handy.
You'll get used to it's size, at first I had some sore joint trying to adapt though.

Well I had a similar problem with that and the fact that the joystick just broke off made it worse... The solution I did? I sold it for like 20 dollars and now currently waiting for the PSP mobile (I think that's what it's called)
