PSX Emulator

So I'm kinda new to the whole emulator thing as I prefer trying to get hard or (legit ...ish) digital copies of things, but I have a feeling that Mega Man Legends and a few other games may be a bit difficult to get. I couldn't find any emulator topics for the PSX and only a passing mention of a SuperNES setup. Any ideas/recommendations? (I also wouldn't mind any cheating features you can get. I like to be lazy sometimes)

Thanks! I don't suppose that I could burn such files to a disc and use them in my ps2? Or better yet, use my PSX discs in my computer?

I dont think PCSX2 can play PSX games. Might be wrong...

On a completely unrelated note, anyone know of a way to easily download a bunch of pictures from a nosebleed post? Specifically I want to bypass clicking on the thumbnails to go to imagebam. I thought I had an addon for Firefox that did it (DownThemAll) but it only got the thumbs. (Still useful for full sized images though)

The way it's set up makes it very inconvenient for someone to create a program that can do that. If you want to, though, you can download a macro program, and configure it to scroll the mouse over (or down) to the next image, click on it, then right-click and Save the image.

Or if that doesn't work (or takes too long) you can try using JDownloader. You'll get a bunch of junk links (for things like avatars, signatures, buttons and stuff), but all the images from a file hosting site will be set into it's own category. Then, it's only checking to see if the images are full-size or not.

The third, and probably easiest, is to check to see if you can scroll through the images after clicking on one. I believe Imagebam and Imageshack have a Next/Previous button. Since the files are all uploaded at once, they are kept in a batch, and using those buttons should scroll you through them all.

I'm doing it now and it's giving me all the pictures. That means thumbnails, full sized, user's avatars, site icons. So doing this will mean you'll have to go through it all to get what you actually want. And I'm not even sure if it's doing it correctly for all of them.

There was a pc version of MML iirc.

And note, PCSX2 isn't the nicest emulator unless you have decent hardware to run it, and if you just want PSX games then use ePSXe in the wame way one would set up PCSX2, grab bios, iso of the game, and run it.

Get a bios file from google.
Download game via google (yea, this is piracy)
Setup controllers in the emulator wizard.
Have fun.

I miss PSX games.
I wanted to play those classic RPGs again.

Yeah, I played it on the N64 first, but I have Legends 2 so I miss the first one...

Also thank you for reminding me! I can set up my 360 controller to work like a Dual Shock controller. that'll make things easier.

im a true blue newb in terms of emulators so here goes my long series of questions... do i need to have the actual cd of the game? i saw a guy once play ff7 on pc without using any game cds...

No, you have to download a ROM of the game you wish to play. (Along with the BIOS for the system you want to emulate)

Since we're talking about roms and emulators, can someone explain to me how to use the MAME emulator? I tried downloading it a while ago and just gave up trying to load Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. I'm really confused.
