For some reason this isn't working anymore, I keep getting this wall of text instead of it workingException in Tkinter callback
Traceback (most recent call last):
urllib.error.HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden
Any idea whats wrong?
Yes jacob thinks too many of you are using these sort of scripts. Also 1 post account.
Here's the patch
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=DuJCFxxT
Copy everything from that page and overwrite the fakku.py file.
Despite being titled as a contributor to the project, I can't commit or push to the git...Only suggest lol

I've had my account for a while, just never really posted on the forums before, thanks for the patch

Hey guys, this is awesome! As an avid fan of fakku this tops it! I hate waiting for pages to load, i dont know why it takes so long as i have a 100mbit connection. Anyone know why? so now i prefer to download and read it using comicrack.
Just wondering, is there a way to zip the folder once it has finished loading?
Anyway thanks a ton! This is just too awesome!

Haha of course I know that. I meant as part of the script. Esp if you are downloading multiple chapters.
Not a big deal though, I don't download en mass anyway.

Zip added, hope it works. Only works in command line mode because I don't know how to make a checkbox in tk. Use with -z option. Can be combined with the -l option. It won't delete the folder though.

I keep getting unexpected indent when i press enter, i'm pretty sure its not the script is it a problem with my notepad?
i've read over everything a couple of times and maybe its because their have been so many updates that i got confused
when i type python in the command script i get info on it so i know i set the path correctly
when i type dir i see the file i want to save it under
and i've tried 2 versions of writing the command
fakku.py (which i got from kuronekodragon's second post) "mangaURl" "folder name(which i got from sciwhiz first post updated version"
when i try this i get unrecognized argument "folder name"
when i try folder name Url folder name i get unexpected indent
EDIT:
NVM
when i tried fakku.py "URL" it worked
Edit #2 is it possible to get something similar for this website? http://hentai2read.com/

I added line to the zipper function to delete the original directory so that only the .zip file remained.

EDIT:
I also added a bit to the gui

I tried reproducing the steps you followed on windows 7 64-bit through virtual-box(I use Linux as my main), but did not get any errors.
Try downloading the script from my post above and running
That should open up a GUI(which might be easier to use)
P.S.
Truthfully I'm not sure what the error that you got means...

you have to specify a path to save as the default (the title of the manga or doujinshi to download)is invalid, as the OS does not allow some characters present on the name likely "?"
on windows a file cannot contain / \ :*?"<>|

THANK YOU SO MUCH BOTH OF YOU! this is awesomeness! will test out now
EDIT: Works flawlessly! The gui is also working smoother for some reason that i dont know haha.
Also works flawlessly for the list. Just have to modify the .bat file to have the options -z and -d:
python fakku.py -l fakku_list.txt -z -d

Basically rename it to something else, the problem with it is that it has a ? in the title and you cant create a file or folder name with a question mark.
I wonder (im not a programmer so just a thought) if it is possible to add an exception (? or something) in the '-n' option to remove the following when creating a name:
/ \ : * ? < > " |

http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=Mc0rEbc0
should now eject any of these characters [/\:*?<>"|] whether the -n option is used or not.
Tried it on https://www.fakku.net/manga/youre-going-to-become-my-master-right-1 but if someone could find another one for testing purposes, it would be great.

some of this characters also have a special meaning in Regular Expressions. can you check, and if required apply re.escape(string) in order to ensure this characters are used as literals instead of the Special meaning for example "\", "?" "."
dir = re.sub( re.escape('[/\:*?<>"|]'),'',dir)

Python Docs wrote...
Special characters lose their special meaning inside sets. For example, [(+*)] will match any of the literal characters '(', '+', '*', or ')'.Only the \ wasn't properly treated...

pretty sure it should be good now.

for what i know this works too: (only in premium version) (you get a 30 day trial, for 1 pc [if you have more pc's that means {number of pc's x 30 =??? days of free trial}])
http://blog.domdomsoft.com/
you can try it if you want
(it can slow down your pc, since it could take up a lot of DDR memory, and a quite bit of cpu usage [20% for me])

I love this script, although i'm kind of sad that it wont work with the script i created for fakku, maybe later on i'll post my work.
Edit: I've made a program to grab links, i'll post images later when i have time. Basically you're able to set the pages you want it to grab from, and it will pull them relatively quickly. I'm still working on some bugs though. I coded it in vb though. I don't know python but i might learn it after seeing what these can do.
