I see rap as a form of expression combined with the art of music. I don't often go out of my way to listen to rap music, but I respect it for what it is, and generally enjoy rap if it sounds to me as if the musicians are speaking from their hearts and put meaning behind their words, whether it be happiness, sorrow, joy, desire, love, etc.

Why is it like only white rappers mentioned itt? smh

And why does almost all hentai fans listen to rock (metal etc.)? Genuinly curious why it is like that.

Plenty of black rappers are mentioned. Anyone you're thinking of in particular?

Almost all hentai fans are underaged and stuck in the "phase".

Rock is one of the largest genres of music. People like it because it got something for everyone.

I like Wu Tang Clan and all it's individual MCs, Gang Starr, Mos Def, Eazy-E and good ol NWA, Biggie, old Snoop and Dre is always nice too. So I guess it's safe to say I like the kind of rap with minimal background music, a solid beat and focus on lyrics. Like most rap though. But I haven't been listening to anything that's been released in the last years.

Rap music is pretty rad. Lately I've been listening to a lot of female rappers- Azealia Banks and Iggy Azalea especially.

And gangster rap. I'm more fond over ironic rappers.

I listen to more old school rap than new school rap since all of my favourites were in their prime back then. I've been listening to rap since high school, but my favourites include Kool G Rap, Kool Keith, Large Professor, Wu-Tang Clan, Labtekwon, Organized Konfusion, Serengeti, Breez Evahflowin, Brand Nubian, The Pharcyde and Ras Kass.

I wouldn't call Gang Starr and Mos Def gangster rap. But yeah, I definitely seem to favour gangster rap. Not sure why. Maybe because I find the lyrics more interesting, even though most gangster rappers are just studio gangsters, but still. And I guess I can't really relate to most of the stuff they rap about, but I can't relate to stuff like, war movies movies either, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying them if you know what I mean.
