Raze's Piano

Great piano play.
I like your "Tristesse" and "Black Keys" very much, considering I'm a Chopin fan like you (are you?)
The Christmas-Medley is also very good.
Here's my request:
What about this dark, apocalyptic one from Majora's Mask?
Would be interesting to see what you do out of it with a piano

Keep up the good work.
maybe you could try this one some other time too if you want

I love the piano versions. Great stuff.
Just a question: at the beginning of the Sorairo Days, I'm assuming that the person speaking Japanese is you right Raze? If so, are you actually Japanese? I'm kinda curious.
As you mentioned, the transition could definitely be smoothed, but hey, I'm loving it. I wish I had transcribing skills.

No, I'm not Japanese, but I do pride myself on speaking fluent, unaccented Japanese (I am trilingual, and pentalingual if fluency/complete literacy is not a requirement). I spent 2 hours a day for a few months drilling in vocab and grammar, but to get to the point where I no longer needed to translate my thinking from English/Chinese to Japanese and be able to express myself naturally and fluently took far, far longer. May have taken a matter of weeks if I lived in Japan, but alas, I didn't have the luck or luxury.
And, just to clarify things, I didn't transcribe the songs, I simply listened to it, then sat down at the piano and struck some keys and chords before bringing my laptop up and recording it. To transcribe music onto manuscript would take far longer, and then I would have to practice it too before recording, but it would almost certainly sound a lot better.

i'll bow down to you if you could play chopin's etude no.4 smoothly.I actually can (Op. 10 No. 4 in C# minor correct?), at the correct speed too, but you'll have to just take my word for it until I put up a recording. No promises though, because I'm working on Saint-Saens' Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor for a competition on December 2009, among many other pieces by Brahms, Liszt, and Chopin that I will have to give a lecture recital on next year too.

I love playing Chopin too. Currently working to master Scherzo no. 2. The ending part is hard. I wonder why he didn't insert key changes to make reading easier. Anyways I wish I could play like that just by listening. I have perfect pitch, but that's a far way off from what you can do.
By the way, the link to Liszt is not working.

So do I, but I'm not sure if it really helps that much with playing by ear/improvisation. Sure, you get the starting key right, but that's about it I reckon.
I'll see if I can find the Liszt somewhere. I'm working on Gnomenreigen right now.

Hi Raze and Belated happy birthday.
I was wondering if you still do piano versions of anime songs?
Kimi ni Mune Kyun! Sung by Sanada Asami, Kobayashi Yu and Inoue Marina.
