Reliable headphones

I bought some skullcandy head phones on the first, and they have already stopped working on the right side. I've bought skull candy before and they all barely lasted a month before dying on the right ear and I was wondering what would be a good brand for reliable headphones? Thanks.

This is a crazy coincidence. Nekohime just broke her's earlier today and we got into a discussion on headphones. O__o;
I don't wear headphones too often.
But I should check what ones my friend had last summer. She went to go read outside for a little while and the top melted and became distorted.

You might want to try lots of headphones on the device you're using.
My itouch actually stops the left from working unless you hold it in place (not the headphones).
But other than that, i've not really had any headphones, just earphones.

Obviously, you never heard of Bose. Try that brand of headphones, I guarantee that you would love them.

If you really want quality avoid Sony unless you wanna spend big bucks ,and for heaven sake if your gonna drop $300 dollars on a pair of Bose DON'T ,and get some Audio-Technica's ,Grado's or Sennheisers...actually you know what just buy Audio-Technica's off Amazon. They have several fairly priced headphones with AMAZING sound quality ,and durability.
Edit:Also be sure to check that the headphones you wish to buy don't require amplification to be used properly.

Thank you everybody for the input, I'll be looking into comparing these brands and find what suits me.

Just a little something I found a while back... it's kind of true too, Skullcandy are overpriced! They do look really cool though, I must say.
It all depends on your price range/what you're using them for/what music you listen to, I guess. I invest a lot (pretty much all the spare cash I got) into music related things, so I walk around with my Beyerdynamic DT880's, which are great, but I guess not the best things to stroll with. I started using big headphones which really should be used carefully when I was young, now I can't stand anything smaller!
I suppose you're looking for something a bit less (what may seem to you) wasteful, so I'd suggest anything Sennheiser/Bose, they're usually dependable.

The reason I kept buying the skullcandy brand was really because it looked cool. I feel bad looking at those prices now.

What about Sennheisers? I heard they're pretty good, and they last longer than Skullcandys.I have some, Strong Build, Very reliable, Beautiful sound quality, noise cancellation, fits around your ears fully to make it so if you want all you can hear is the song, they're bliss.
However they come with a price, which for the higher models can be expensive. however if you think how many cheaper ones may break over time, you'll realise long term its a better option.

There are so many good headphones out there that it's hard to reccomened one out of the blue.
First off, what kind of cash are you willing to spend?
What are you going to use them for? (gaming/music/computer/MP3 player)
If music, what sort of music do you listen to?

Stay away from skullcandy and bose, just don't buy em. If I had to recommend you something, then it'd be almost anything from sennheiser, and I know sony made a model around $20 that's good for casual listening (ie ipod quality music).
The one I currently use now is the Grado SR60i, and I'm quite satisfied with it. Great sound quality for $60-70(you can get it for less than what amazon charges, just linked there for the sake of showing it).

As far as headphones go:
Using em for a computer? Turtle Beach. I love mine. Wired ones work great if you don't mind that long ass shit. I don't.
Using em for outside? Get some earbuds if you like that. Try to spend 20 to 40 dollars. iPod ones may be expensive but I have had mine for nearly 5 years and counting.
Using em for outside but don't want them in your ear? I got some Sentry one from a pawnshop and they work really well. It's the same as these. Avoid Skullcandy at all costs.
Edit: If you're looking for guaranteed quality just go with Bose if you have the money. Fuck it.

Depends on the source (Ipod computer) your budget and how you want the music to sound, also there are different types, full size portable iem. Please be more specific also everything a brand makes isn't always good.

Headphones for the computer..? I would say Cyber Acoustics. They are a low price and look very generic. But the sound quality is just incredible.
