The saddest, prettiest song I've ever heard has got to be "Barnyard Story" by Procol Harum..... which is apparently not on YouTube. I did not realise this was possible.

Also, in terms of classical, Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony is epically depressing. Mahler's 6th and 9th are also major downers.

One of my favorite Korean artists, Ra.d. Yes, it's a song about his mother. It's quite touching though.
