Save One or Five?

If you had a choice to save someone from the grasp of death, who would you choose? One of your family members, or five strangers? If you want to give a reason why, go ahead.

Me, I would save 5 strangers. Sure I would hate losing one of my family members, but then I think on how the families of the 5 would be if they died. I would rather prevent other people from having to know pain and suffering, then have them suffer for the rest of their lives and have them cling on to their hatred towards me.

Save 5 strangers, since I'm doing the Good Karma route..lol

but honestly it depends.

I don't think I could deal with losing a family member. Sure, I'd feel bad for not rescuing those five when I possibly could, but I think I'd feel much worse knowing I could've saved someone I actually cared about, someone I was attached to in some way (in this case, a familial bond).

In any case, I hope I won't ever really need to make this kind of choice in my life, unless it's in a video game.

I choose to kill the 5 strangers.

If it's 5 purely random strangers I'd likely always choose the family member.

I would honestly choose the family member.

Doesn't matter which strangers or which family member. Its up to you to decide that.

It's a lose/lose situation, mainly cause your own family will hated you to.

That's where my choice comes in. If I know my family, they would support my decision as I saved as many people as I could. That is worth a lot more than just having your family member near you for who know how much longer. It will be just as painful to lose them in any situation, but I stick by my decision.

Save the family member. To be honest, I don't give two (or even a single) shits about others if a family member is in danger. Sure, the strangers have families, I realize that. However, they are strangers and therefore have no effect on myself or my significant others.

How about saving 5 people like 3 members of the family + 2 strangers or something like that, can't I?
The question is, who am I going to save first from my family.
