SCANDAL - is a Japanese pop and rock group. Proclaiming themselves as "The Most Powerful Japanese Girlie Pop Rock", they are composed of four high school girls from Osaka, Japan: Haruna Ono, Tomomi Ogawa, Mami Sasazaki, and Rina Suzuki. Scandal is very energetic, mostly due to the fact that Ono, the eldest and leader of the band, shares lead vocals with the other three members, in order to not have a focus on one girl in particular and to give each time in the limelight.

an interesting note about the group is the unique way in which they chose to promote themselves. Since they are fans of Japanese animation and manga, they wanted to be represented in animated form, turning each member into an animated character. The animated SCANDAL is featured on a series of promotional videos on the band's website.

and while I haven't watched much K-on, I do see a strong parallel.

Very strong parallel. 4 girl band in school girl uniforms. hmm..

I can see the resemblence but I dont see any keyboards >.>.
Anyway as far as the band sounds, they are great. They are in sync and sound like they are having fun. The vocals are awesome and the instruments sounds awesome.

A totally awesome band with just 4 members. They surely rock with their music and school uniforms.

They can partner themselves up with Abingdon Boys School if and only if the members of Abingdon Boys School could have been just a little younger. (Ridicule)

They're pretty hot and they do have good music.

SCANDAL is an "Okay" band in my terms. Energetic and everything.

I'm honestly surprised that no one listens to SCANDAL, I thought they'd be quite popular. I just recently started listening to them, and I think they're amazing.

They're really good and one of my favourite Japanese bands, I was listening to them today. Playboy PartII and GIRLism are my two favourite songs, but really all their music is good.

Stereopony are really good as well, you should check them out if you haven't.

I just bought a ticket to their concert exactly a month from today. Super psyched to finally see them live! And there's also gonna be some high-5 event, bonus score \o/

Eh nope. BUT YEAH I JUST CAME HOME FROM THE GIG TODAY. I swear to god their live is fucking amazing. Got a VIP ticket, so had a handshake session with each of them too. Rina is too damn cute, and Mami is so hot in person.

And now I'm thinking of going again tomorrow, no VIP this time though.
