...well, unfortunately, I am not a virgin. The reason why I say "Unfortunately" is because, well... about 3 or 4 years ago when I was 15 I went to visit my families country. There I met some of my cousins. well they told me about some whores and pressured me to going to one of them and doing it and... well like an Idiot I went through with it. Thinking on it now I realize what a BIG mistake it was. so... well here I am and I haven't done it since then. as a hopeless romantic myself, I hope to find my significant other in the future and redeem my failed first time. so... yeah...

Your virginity is indeed not some kind of super important thing you have to get rid of at all cost, but sex is nice and feels good so there is no reason not to make an afford to try to have it.

It is true that if it does not work out you can feel worse than you ever thought, I should know... After my ex-fiancée left me 2 years age I started feeling worse than I could ever imagine, and I most of the time still feel very bad. But I know there is only two things that could help: time, and falling in love again.
I will get nothing out of just waiting for time to remove the pain, so falling in love again seems like the "rational" decision, even if the risks of feeling extremely bad again are relatively high (it is unlikely I will find my future wife the first time I fall in love again).



I think it is only important if you love someone, otherwise it is just gymnastics which feels good. But very few people object to feeling good, so that should be reason enough to try having sex :)
