so i got pictures of this spider today at a fair. i thought it was rather pretty, but that doesnt mean i would touch it. Id like to know how many of you who dont like spiders still find them pretty.
(I dont think this is the wrong sub for this. I expect more serious answers than ib, but I dont think its quite enough for serious disc)

Pretty looking spider! I migh touch a spider but theres no way I'd let one crawl on me. Maybe a small one or something. We have some of those down by my families farm, it's kind of neat watching them grow into adults!
And yeah this is the right board. Serious discussion is just for srs buisness amd ib is just acting like idiots (shitposting) as far as I know.

That an argiope, a female judging by the size, but you can see the zigzag web left by the much smaller male. They're actually harmless to humans, so you don't have to worry about handling them. That said, its best just to leave them alone since they're highly beneficial garden spiders.

I find spiders intriguing and I want to like them but they scare the shit out of me.

It's pretty, yeah, but I don't really want to touch non-tarantula spiders.

I like spiders, and I find them pretty. Wouldn't want to touch one that is either venomous, or has not yet been identified as one, but that's just me.

OT: I dont mind spiders as long as I dont get bitten, Scorpions on the other hand terrify me.

I chuckled at the vid.
I wouldn't get near a harmless spider that big, only to spare the poor creature from my indiscriminate ways. I'm so used to killing spiders in my house, my conditioned response is to hit one upon sight.

I hate spiders, I wish they would go extinct, I don't like looking at them and I would definitely not want to touch it. The one in the pic is really creepy.
I wish I weren't afraid of spiders, but my light arachnophobia tells me I have to be.

There was only one time where I was scared of a spider, and that was waking up with a tarantula on my face.

lol nvm it was bugged for a minute, but not anymore.
OT: I am okay with spiders. If they make a nest too close to somewhere I frequent, I grab a stick or use my hands to hold him and move him elsewhere.
I try not to kill spiders; they didn't do anything wrong.
Protip: If a spider is brightly colored, isn't hiding (making webs/walking about in the middle of the open without worry), or partially smell odd - Its probably poisonous.
