Spotify is coming to America

For the uninformed, Spotify is a free, legal music streaming client which contains just about every song out there, making its money from infrequent ads and premium signups (allowing unlimited usage and mobile streaming).
While the free limits have gone down a bit, it remains a great, easy way to check out new bands and albums which everyone and their mums have been using across Europe, and is amazing value as a subscription-based jukebox of endless scope. The cost of one album a month gets you tens of thousands.
It hasn't launched just yet, but invite sign-ups are open now.

Spotify was great before they started messing with the free version of it, and still is awesome as long as you're willing to pay. Which I guess is pretty worth it seeing as it's still very cheap.
I honestly though that Spotify was already available in the US though.

Limitless free access had a bit of 'too good to be true' about it. But yeah, they've had a lot of licensing issues, and Apple have been fighting them all the way. They see it as a threat to iTunes, surprise surprise.

Yeah, I guess it was a bit too good to be true, so thank god that Grooveshark is still free even if their library often isn't as expansive.

Meh YouTube converter forever. Why would you use something which is infinitely slower, far less convenient and worse quality?

Free, I can up the quality easily, I'm fine with it taking about 45 seconds a song, and I'm really not an audiophile anyways XD

*coughgroovesharkcough*
But, can you use it to stream music on your phone? Or save music and play it offline without it taking up all that extra space?
I get the "free" argument, but it is that kind of thinking that's slowly killing the music industry.
Paying the price of, usually less than, one album a month and getting nearly unlimited amounts of music, while you're still supporting the music scene would, imo, be the far superior choice.
