What is better in the long run?

I have always wanted to be a chef and all through high school I took culinary course's and was in a few interstate competitions. My last year I took drafting and found out I really liked it and was good at it. The point is I am stuck between going going to a culinary school or a community college that teaches drafting.
I would like some opions on what people think is better in the long run.

Well my 2 cents are, what do you enjoy more? Perhaps it's a broad question but it's something to think about. It seems you have a real talent for culinary arts there if you were in a few interstate competitions. What it dwidles down to is, what do you see yourself doing say....10 years from now? Are you going to wake up every morning and be "well another day at work" or "Alright another great day at work!".
All in all, do something that you love and enjoy. The day you wake up and see what your doing not as work, but as something you love, you will have made, and i quote, GREAT SUCCESS.

Drafting, a flunky drawing what ur boss tells you to draw. yes you a flunky.
Chef, ehh, i don't know much about that job. You cook food, get tips if restaurant don't give tips only to the waiters.

You have experience in being a chef it seems. Maybe you liking drafting is a bit of a brake from that in your own way that you dont realize~ Or you could just really like drafting. xD But I would stick to cooking since your so into it. But then again if you think it will make you un-happy that you gave up drafting then go for it.

Sorry I forgot to say there is a company that works for the government that hires pretty much anyone who understands CAD.

Cooking as your main and freelance drafting without a degree.

both course are fuckin expensive...
ok, pros and cons of both courses
Drafting
1. sleepless nights
2. become an architect, haul in lots o cash
3. you spend most of your day sitting on a soft lofty chair inside a cool room.
culinary
1. good pay
2. you work in a good hotel, ship, or whatever if your meals dont taste like shit
3. you grow good beard. xD
4. likewise, you spend a lot in taking up culinary

If you want to become a chef, talk to Longevity. He can help.
If you want to go into Drafting, go to school.
My opinion, Choose what you will love and enjoy the most, I say cooking.

Curious and Wondering
My old man always say to me, "Avoid having a job. Instead, get a career."
Some people tend to confuse their likes with their desires - I have one college classmate who chose Computer Science because "he was good at it"... but eventually his liking waned and his grades started to dwindle, and ended up transferring courses. He now just graduated from Journalism, and last time I heard from him he sounded truly happy, and he got hired by a local major news agency.
I would advise you to find out which one of your two choices do you desire the most, and which can guarantee you a career.
But in terms of stability in sustaining a career, I'd advise you to consider culinary arts.

Something to consider after viewing your choices
People will always eat
Drafting while used in a number of fields is cyclic
For instance Being a draftsman for an architect means you are tied to construction. And we all know how well that is doing :/
Being a draftsman in the automotive or Aerospace has the problem of being cyclic again, but in a different way. Aerospace seems to run on a 7 year cycle (look at Boeing as an example)and we wont even talk about the car makers.
Personally I think that creating great food and seeing happy people is, by far the better choice
Just how I see it.

EDIT Much like Jmason (or Imason) Dad said Mine told me "Find something you love to do and you will never work a day in your life"
fixed ( I think)

mostly this. what kind of 'better in the long run' are you looking for?
if you separate your choices like mason suggested, then the answer should present itself to you. of course, you may have other pros/cons to consider. everyone weighs each a little differently.
what is important to you?
