Stuck between phones

My blackberry just crapped out on me, so I've decided to forgo blackberry for HTC, but I'm stuck between 2 phones. On one hand, I can choose the HTC Wildfire, good reviews good price decent phone. On the other hand, there's the HTC Desire, decent reviews high price, again decent phone. Comments?

Hmm, I'd go for the HTC Desire for its 1GHz Snapdragon, used in a handful of top smartphones. The Desire also has more RAM, 512MB against 384MB of the HTC Wildfire. Also trending these days are the larger screen estates on phones, suddenly I feel that my iPhone 4's screen estate is lacking compared to other phones which have 4.3" screens now. You'd notice the difference especially with pinching the screen.

You would enjoy the desire more, even when you compare how much you would have spent on it, it's just an all around better phone. Also, the 1 ghz can make a difference depending on the apps you use, especially with stuff such as emulators.

Is there a reason why you're only choosing out of those two phones? There are more superior Android handsets out there. The Desire and Wildfire are really aging. Both phones are really quite outdated by today's standards.



Don't you mean the Galaxy S 2? The original SGS is in no way superior to the iPhone 4.I wouldn't put it above the Desire either.

I own a Wildfire, and while it is a great value phone which I do love, I only bought it because I couldn't afford anything else. It can't run proper games, experiences moderate lag when running multiple apps and has an average screen.

If you have the money go for a top-end HTC; the Desire HD is meant to be good, but I'm not as up-to-date as ImperialX here.
