You could use Superman's powers from one comic to show that he would beat Goku and then use his powers in another comic to show that Goku would win.

A better versus fight would be Luffy vs Naruto. Or Captain American vs Edward Elric.

I think i just might make one, could be fun to see people's opinions on this.

I'd go with Goku cause having the dragon balls inside him means he's immortal and he gets stronger every chapter... for all we know there would be an ssj20... besides the dragon balls fused with him already... that should have granted him the magical powers of the Mystical Dragon *granting wishes- meaning things like creating something out of nothing, destroying something by willing* and other uber stuff. And also I agree about the view that Superman had weaknesses *like cyptonite* and he's not impervious to magic.

ahh if this was freeza id be concerned about supermans safety. but this is goku where talking about. goku believes believes in fighting fair which makes goku a real fighter. so even if goku knew about supermans weakness id doubt goku would scoop down to that level no that's not goku. so the answer would be no because goku wouldnt use kryptonite for an trumpcard.

Pretty much any version of Superman would kill Frieeza with a punch dude.
But as stated, without knowing which Superman we're using in this fight it's hard to debate this.

Are we to assume that every Superman comic is canon, even though they generally have large inconsistancies between them? What would be considered the canon? If I can remember correctly the original superman was rather weak to what now days hes portrayed as.

A early version of Superman depicted him as not even being able to fly, and only taking large jumps, and moving at the speed of a bullet in the terms of the mentioned fighters is like racing sonic the hedgehog with pulling a 18 wheeler by your ears.

So, What along those lines could we take as canon for superman? A specific artist? A certain storyline?

(I actually have very little knowledge of Superman and only know what I do from the History channels special modern marvals on comic book heros...so what I mentioned could be slightly inaccurate.)

Of course, Goku all the way but the man of steel does has his strong points but Vegito as his super gum ball form from the Buu sage vs. Superman...

How do Superman become "Super"man in the first place.. Goku got all his heck of a training to overcome to become strong like that.. So, How do Superman become "Super"??
