Ok im getting really pissed at SS. Seems like anything i do it crashes..
i try to do a virus scan..it crashes..
I try to do a update...it crashes...
i try and fucking do a One click fix all I FUCKING CRASHES!
I have had SS for over 2 years now and it has never let me down.
NEVER! So now im computer is like a fucking open door for virus..i have my main firewall on..the one that comes with your computer but SS's firewall is not coming on.
Ugh does anyone have the same problem or have had this happen and fixed it?
Any help would be great right about now cause SS is fucking killing me here..

Sorry if this sounds kind of mean, but most all-in-one "fix it" programs or "registry cleaners" or other similar software are generally useless. I'd suggest you don't use them. Really.
I'd suggest you use something like Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus, and don't bother with multiple firewalls. Let Windows take care of itself.

MSE > You don't really know what you're doing half the time on a computer.
Avast/Avira > You have some knowledge of what you're doing most of the time on a computer.

Everyone knows running programs with tons of bloated features means your a 1337 h4xor.
That's why I run Norton Antivirus and McAfee Internet Security and SuperAntiVirus2011 at the same time.

Random Nonsense and Babbling! Thats what i just did!
except i put it in a spoiler...
Basically-It depends on what type of user you are, what type of computer you have and ... oh shit not on topic, fuck... I needz more information bro. But i would recommend backing up and reformatting your computer every so often (like every year at LEAST) i do every 6 months at least.

She seems to be getting slow at times and im afraid i have a deep in there virus.
So i just want something the will grantee to find ANY virus and just keep it safe.
Thinking about getting McAfee. Heard alot of good things about it. lol

There no guarantees in the Av world, one virus and slip though any av and be stopped by another.. i used norton's since i had a computer and only got fucked once the whole time.. and that because my mom forgot to renew the sub.. i using three different av programs on five different computers and no problems yet on either.
Avast
Avg
and a mcafee since it was free.. and complete.
first two are free the other is 69 a year if i renew it in 2014. avast is tard proof outside the box to the point of i get pinged by trojan but never get them and the bootscan finds the shit the full scan can't.. a av and malware combo works for me.. Malware bytes is the name. Caution is the best AV

McAfee is not all that good from what i have seen and conversed. I would recommend AVG especially if you ... think everything on the interwebs should be free. ;D its pretty ez to stumble upon a key for.

haha well thanks, Maybe i could just Torrent a program if it will save me some money.
I dont care to spend a load on something that will protect my pc against something bad.
But eh. once i have a day off from work ill check out this AVG and see what its all about! xD
*EDIT*
AVG is free? o3o

if you download the 30 day trial for the full version and google "AVG serial" the first link is a forums site that has what you need.

Currently downloading the free 30-day trail.
And what your saying is i could get a full free version (Serial Number) By just googling "AVG Serial"?
you would think that if a program is soo good they would at least make people buy the full version instead of giving out codes.
Or was you saying i could BUY the full version and they would give me a serial number for it?

Spoiler:
Have you tried the new version of CIS? It comes with game mode as well as a lot of other improvements. It rarely blocks anything that I install anymore, and I can play SCII just fine.)

Well its a public key posted by someone like you or me that works. I got it that way from the same site it worked grate, you'll need to scroll down and look at the comments though. you can pretty much just copy and paste the code when you find

x,x Maybe they are not a huge threat but it did get rid of a shit load of unused files that i was trying to check for, so that a +1 for AVG. haha

Just because you pay for something doesn't mean it will work. Like I said, there's a lot of those "computer fixers" and "register cleaners" and "super security firewalls" and other crap that cost $$ but are mostly useless. Just because they may like to display messages and progress bars and other alerts to make it seem like they are "working," they likely won't be of much help when you really do have a problem. And running multiple antivirus and security programs is stupid. Each of them will end up scanning over the same files multiple times, causing an overall drive slowdown, and possible compatibility issues.
The main thing you need to do is not download and/or open sketchy programs, or visit sketchy sites. This includes anime streaming sites, which take fansubs and upload them to random video hosts, and sometimes pass drive-by malware downloads when you visit them.
