Taiwanese Bakery Sandwiches

Does anybody have any idea how to make those triangle sandwiches that they sell in Chinese or Taiwanese Bakeries?
They look like this

They sometimes have cucumbers in them too and have a sort of sweetness to them.
I know it looks super simple but every single time I've tried to make one. It tastes "off" I've always been curious about the unique flavor of nostaglia.

I'm not sure how the ones in the first picture are made, but the ones in the second are made with white bread [something akin to japanese shoku-pan], butter, ham, and a slice of cheese [I've seen egg, too]. The bread is buttered, and then the fillings are added.
hope this was helpful! :>

What kind of filling do you suppose it is? Is it Mayo? For some reason it tastes a little sweet and I can never put my finger on it.

Mayo would make it slightly sweet, now that I think about it...

ah!! this blog says it's ham and thinly sliced omlette with some mayo spread on the bread.
after doing a bit of research, it seems the sandwiches in the top photo are made with pork sung, omlette, and mayo.

If the mayo is sweet, then its most likely the Japanese Kewpie mayo.
Its not as acidic as western mayo, since there's no vinegar in it. :3

That may be IT! I'd assume you can buy that at most Asian markets?Japanese and Korean, yes. I've yet to find a Vietnamese market in my area that sells Kewpie mayo, but you never know. And it does have vinegar in it. Some sources say rice vinegar, others say apple and malt vinegar. Whatever it is, it's fucking delicious.
