Tanning

So. I'm only making this cause there's a giant tanning machine right next to my bed but I thought why not make it more appropriate for random? So questions. Do you tan? And how do you tan?

no, no and no....one word: melanoma! I prefer my skin as light as possible but I do tan my legs just a little bit in summer just to cover some imperfections, and even then I use a high factor sunscreen.

I naturally tan very quickly and very darkly. Given that I work outside all the time, it doesn't take long before I practically change race.
However, since my wardrobe changes in accordance to both the nature of my work and nature herself (long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves, hardhat, safety glasses, gloves, etc)- I'm a real Frankensteinian patchwork of different skin tones.
Pale from the waist down, then a huge mishmash among my back, chest, upper arms, forearms, hands, palms, nape, face, etc.
Were I to care enough about it, I'd make some time to try and even it out but- well- I don't.

Farmer's tan is what I usually sport.
I don't mind seeing tan skin at all, the dichotomy when pale portions of skin are exposed can be quite arousing really.

I don't tan. It isn't so much that I don't wish to or that I burn easily, I just simply don't. Even when I'm out in the pool a lot during the summer, I tend to go out only in the mid-to-late afternoon when the sun is behind the trees in my yard.
I guess if I have one reason as to why I don't tan it is because I'm a cheap ass who doesn't want to pay for sun block.

I used to tan quite easily when I was a child, but nowdays "dunno lol" D: because I dont like being in sun. When I'm outside, I try to be in shade as much as possible, because I dont like the hot burning sun :<
Edit: irl I dont really care for tans, but cute lolis with tanlines from their swimsuits are cute :>

[font=verdana][color=green]I burn, then I tan. It's annoying; having a mother who burns and a father who tans and I have both worlds.
But I don't really care for tanning.

Curious and Wondering
I don't tan. I practically avoid being tanned... since my skin is already a shade of light brown. I even go as far as to only accept night swimming parties.
Last time I was at a swimming party while the sun is up was 12 years ago, and it was hell - I only went to swim for less than two hours and I was like, very tanned.

I burn too easily, plus I don't think that I look good in it.
Highest-value sunblock, here I come!

The doctor told me to avoid long exposure to direct sunlight, so I'm generally pale. I also have no interest in a tan.

I don't tan period. I don't know if I burn easily or not either. >.> I just don't tan. Though I should walk around shirtless so my upper arm can at least blend in with the rest of my arm. Farmer's tan ftw!

Well... By tan, do they mean like, go out and tan? Or just by getting it? Maybe I looked at the OP's question incorrectly.

Nowadays, I don't really have a tan, though it'd do me good. Whenever I'm tanned my skin is in a really good condition otherwise I'm prone to get zits. When I go on canoing/cycling tours I can get so tanned, that I'd only need a pair of shades to apply for welfare.
...hopefully I can regain my color this summer.
