yeah but in the end they follow their separate ways because each of them found success in an independent musical career!

GOOD ONE.
I should add that Yoko Ono was probably the reason. George and John were the only notable two that really got off the ground.

I'm prepared to take a lot of flak for this but then I don't think The Beatles as a whole are that great, yes they have some decent music, and everyone can almost find one sing that will relate to them. But in all honesty their are better bends out there, and artist who people tend to overlook, by blind fanboy/gril attitudes towards The Beatles.

While I pretty much agree with the two above post about Beatles not being so great, remember that the hype around them are more due to the Beatles creating something new and laying the ground for modern pop/rock.

Of course there were, there will always be someone who has done something similar before.
But you can't argue the fact that the Beatles were, and remains, one of the bands that shaped modern music to what it is today.

I'm not denying the fact that they are one of the bands that shaped modern music, I'm saying there is better bands that have done so.

But that's just personal preference. Some might argue that the Beatles is the best band that has shaped moder music. Personally I agree with you, there are better bands out there who have contributed just as much. But they aren't many.

The Beatles are goddamn amazing. Say, guys who aren't into Beatles, what songs do you like/not like/find overrated? I found some of their mainstream songs like Come Together, Ballad of John and Yoko, to be very underwhelming compared to their popularity.
But personally I think they're one of my favorite bands ever. I mostly listen to metal and I have a strong dislike of pop but I love the Beatles. The lyrics, vocal melodies and harmonies, and general catchiness are all things that make the Beatles quite magical for me. They started out as pop which might be typical by today's standards but they were probably the best "typical" rock band at the time. But as time went on, they grew more sophisticated, more ambitious in their sound, and eventually became a musical force to be reckoned with. From the small incorporation of a sitar in Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) to the full blow orchestras in Eleanor Rigby, the Beatles changed the definition of what pop is with their innovation.
