The Big Four.

As seen on facebook. . .
This is epic! Metallica,Anthrax,Slayer and Mega Deth the biggest names in metal performing a live concert tour! I freakin love them! I remember metallica way before St.anger, Anthrax when I was 12, Slayer when I was 16 and mega deth at 16. And here I'am seeing them all together in one epic live show!
If you don't know these names you must have been living under a rock because These names define metal.
If you don't like metal I have an alternative.

A ray of Tsunlight.
Ha, it's on my birthday. Nice little coincedence.
I will be all fucking over that. Seeing those four bands together? I don't really know what to do with myself about that...
Pioneers of thrash? Count me in.

Whilst the line-up itself is cool, Metallica haven't done much for me in the studio or live in a long time. Anthrax seems to be having serious issues regarding vocal stability and I wonder how that would affect live performances. Slayer & Megadeth are still great live from what I can tell though.

I miss Joey Belladonna (did I spell that right?) he was my favorite vocalist at anthrax. Your comment about metallica kinda makes sense, try listening to Ride the lightning as your benchmark and compare that to the newer songs I bet you'll find Ride the lightning better. Metallica actually dissapointed me at St.Anger, NU metal doesn't work for them and Lars' drumming could have been better at St.Anger.

I liked St. Anger.
Of course nothing will compare to Ride the Lightning or Puppets, but still it was good.
Death Magnetic was good as well.
I stopped expecting perfection from them. Like everyone else seems to.
Those two were solid albums. It's just that no one will let go of their earlier works.

I don't expect anything of them these days, I've long since moved on to what I feel are vastly superior bands in the here and now.

But the big four is all about the classics, I love classics and I don't want to let go of them and I still like the newer metal bands coming out. It's called Adaptation, but you still have to admit that these are the bands that shaped metal and inspired the new metal bands. I would have loved it if motorhead joined the tour.

I know it's about the classics, otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered to make a comment or be slightly interested. I'm just saying there's other bands from their time period that never stopped kicking ass and taking names: see Exodus, Sodom etc. I fully agree with you otherwise.
Spreading the Disease, Master of Puppets, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying, Reign in Blood, Ride the Lightning, Rust in Peace, Hell Awaits etc. the list goes on and on

Damn, I can't wait. This is going to be EPIC. Too bad New Zealand is getting a delay though. ;(

Hm, I'll have to look into getting one of these tickets but saving my money right now to see either RUSH or Roger Waters, maybe 20 dollars well spent though...why can't they do this tour in the US as well though.
Fucking bullshit.
Fucking bullshit.

I'm hoping to not be totally broke next month so I can get a ticket to this. If not, given the bands involved, a concert DVD is inevitable in a few months, which would at least let me see it. And like everyone else, I wish they would make this a world tour. There'd be no end to the money made from that one.

Go to any cinema and ask if they will have the big four on.
Will buy the dvd
METAL IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT'S ALL ABOUT ROCKING HARD AND KICKING ASS

No, I know it's via satellite in a theater. I'm just perennially without expendable income when something has to happen, and this is a one-night thing, as opposed to all the movies coming out in June I need to scrape up some money for. Esepcially since this is a one-day thing, which means the universe would conspire against me.
