The thought of a religious movie being the most bloodiest movie is a scary thought.-Referring to OP.
I know, right? Have you watched it?

Shouldn't this be in Entertainment? As for me... I would say the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies.This. For some reasons this movie made me afraid to die. @.@
The new remake broke that streak for me.

John Carpenter's The Thing...enough said. Planet Terror was also very grusome.Planet Terror, DeadProof, and Machete were epic. Need more "Grindhouse" Movies in the Future. Thankgiving would be PREFECT for the holiday cheer. :D

Not sure, I do remember Indiana jones the temple of doom being quite extreme. Even the critics questioned the mental health of the directors after, still good movie although.

in my opinion some of the bloodiest movies i've seen are Japanese movies. tokyo gore police is an example. as for the most violent (and rather disturbing) movie i've seen, it's gotta be salo. never again. never again.. T__T

I'm a lightweight by most standards, so I don't normally watch movies that involve regular dismemberment. But the one of those that stood out was the J-Horror film Audition. That made me avoid eating for a few days.

I feel that the goriest doesn't mean the most violent. Sometimes a simple violent act can be even more brutal and disturbing. And again I feel a someone being beaten to death with a blunt object is a lot more violent than any sharp edged weapon. Blunt object is a slow kill that you can see slowly distort the person that is being killed and can easily feel the pain.
Take the Irreversible's fire extinguisher's death scene for example.

The Japanese film called, "Audition," comes to mind. The last 15 minutes drove me from the room.

I'm not really sure, as I never saw another film with her in it (that I know of), but if sticking needles in a guy's eyes and playing with them isn't crazy then what is? Forgive the spoiler, but that scene really creeped me out.

Well I'm gonna have to say "Dead Alive" or "Brain Dead". So gory that theaters provided barf bags. However most of the gore was pretty funny (splatstick), so I'm not sure if it counts compared to something like Saving Private Ryan or Audition
