(this may be a little deep but it's a bit random so I don't think it would go in serious discusion) A peace acheived through war can only, by that same ends, meet. The only way for an everlasting peace to be born is the death of all the worlds hatred. Fear cannot bring peace, only offer a mask for the people to hide behind. So should a great conflict come to this world do not stand divided and idly let it pass by take it upon yourself to bring the endless cycle of hatred to an end. Do not fight each other, fight the hatred and bring an end to all the mindless wars.

In other words, have an orgy.

Make love, not war.

You cant have true peace. I dont understand why people hate the cycle of hatred when its just the natural order. There are times when there are peace and times when there are wars and thats it.

i'm of the mind that the only true way to eliminate war for short periods of time on our planet is for there to be one leadership that controls everything.

1. under a single leadership that learship would have absolute power and therfore likely be tainted by greed.
2. peace can be acheived. If the source of all the worlds hatred is destroyed, the worlds hatred is destroyed with it. (like in code geass)

The worlds hatred is not a thing you can destroy and it's not a simple hatred looked at like it's bad. For example, many of the muslims hate the infidels and they don't see it as a bad thing.
You can't talk about "the Worlds" hatred cause hatred is something each and every one of us has within him and will never be destroyed. It's a part of our feelings. This issue has already been covered in the film Equilibrium: Equilibrium

also our human nature gives us the responsibility of our boarders. We, run by our greed, seek more land and therefore we see fit to invade our neighbours. Though this has mostly been abolished in the western world it still goes on on our planet.

So my solution: Find like 2000 new planets to cultivate and send each religious group to a different planet. :D

There will never be true peace on earth so long as we humans exist. Man is doomed to destroy itself. And there is more than enough nuclear power in silos all over the world to see to that.

To be honest the World needs waar to keep things organised... I mean if we didnt have a war every now and then we'd just keep consuming on an ever increasing never ending scale.

The World would get way overpopulated and polluted, The people would look for new pleasures and stretch the boundries so much that simple Guro and Loli Tentacle Raep would no longer be sufficient to quench their thirst for DELICIOUSNESS!!!

People come together whenever they have common interests. The simplest and most effective would be a common enemy.

Thus- as you mentioned Code Geass- the only way to attain some form of worldwide peace would be if there were an evil that was completely independent of all nations and established ideologies, antagonizing the rest of the world without discrimination.

But all peace would be temporary, as it is inevitable that the countless numbers of individuals would eventually butt heads over their differing views. Even within communities which are more-or-less unified, you'll get the occasional rogue.

It is rare to see such idealism in a realistic world. Will never work out though, everyone always wants something; will do anything to achieve power. Will always be differing opinions that lead to conflict.

war always comes that is the way of life. There must be a balance of peace and conflict. There can never be endless peace, yet there can be no endless conflict. You must fight for your own reasons and live by those reasons. It is pointless to cause conflict for no reason. Unless your goal is to destroy the world. Everlasting peace cannot come because nothing is forever if it were 10 years, 100 yeas, even 1 billion yeas still it would end. Just fight for what you believe in and be it good or bad you will at least fulfill your propose in the story.
